Government income redistribution programs produce the same result as theft. In fact, that's what a thief does; he redistributes income. The difference between government and thievery is mostly a matter of legality.

It has always been my opinion that taxation is theft. The only reason one pays ones taxes is because ultimately the government has the force (police and I suppose I guess the army) to make you do so or incarcerate you in prison if you do not. If I did that to another person it would be robbery with menaces and/or kidnapping. The government does it totally legally. Of course they make the laws too..............
