But how de we know? We could be living in a parallel universe where there wasn't a black hole and the universe where we started this process has now gone, but we have forked off in to a new universe.
And anyway, nobody knows what is really inside a black hole so we could be in it now!

Incidentally I thought blackholes were supposed to infinitely slow time down so would we actually realise it had failed if we existed in this "micro-eternity"? Just wondering is all.
