The EU will not replace nation states ...

... so why do they need an army, then?

John Hutton has become the first defence secretary to back a French plan for a European army, branding those who dismiss it as “pathetic”.

In a wide-ranging interview with The Sunday Times, he said: “I think we’ve got to be pragmatic about those things. Where it can help, we should be part of it.”

"Where it can help?"

So ... nowhere, then?

"Hutton is the shite-scum of the earth and will peddle any Zanulab garbage he is told to. I am sick of writing to the prick about various issues he totally ignores and goes on pushing Zanulab shite. It will take, I believe, a six % swing against him to put him out on his arse. I have hopes.

Just reminded me to search Google for French military victories and click the "I'm feeling lucky button".

The only benefit of an EU army is a large force. SO why could the 27 nation states not choose to cooperate when such a situation arises? why do we need the conformity of an EU superstate? get fucked Hutton.

"France is one of our closest allies, militarily."

Like fuck they are. What is this twat on? When was the last time France supported us militarily when it wasn't in their own desperate interests to do so?

The Crimean War, I reckon.
