It is to laugh ...

Achtung!

Chancellor Angela Merkel has announced that Germany will guarantee all private savings accounts, as a major German bank struggles to stay in business.

Ms Merkel had previously been strongly critical of the Irish and Greek governments' decisions to take independent action to protect all savings deposits, but took her decision after an emergency meeting with the central bank and financial regulator.
Who says "ze Chermans" don't have a sense of humour?

The germans have a great sense of humour as their jokes prove:

Q: How many electricians does it take to change a light bulb?

A: One, because it is a straightforward task.

- My dog has no nose.
- So how does it smell?
- It can't because most of the olfactory nerves are located in the nose.

Q: What di you call a camel with three humps?
A: Camels do not have three humps, they either have one or two. It might be worth taking the camel to the vet if it appears to have a third one as it may be a tumour.

Those wacky Germans.

Apparently a lot of German tourists like Edinburgh. What, have they got absolutely no humour of their own?
