Absolutely appalling!

Ten subjects of Her Majesty were today arrested, searched and fined for walking down a public road. Their crime? None at all. They just went for a walk.

I hope the officer responsible for this is looking forward to his turn on the lamp posts.

Guido has more.

Update: Guido was overegging it. Who'da thunk it?

And the Parliament Square webcam is "unavailable for operational reasons". Ha!

That, is an absolute fucking disgrace. I was unable to make it over to London for a walk that I quite fancied taking part in, but I'll be watching OH's blog with interest to see what crime he was supposed to have committed.

Oh, I wish I was there. Sadly, all I could do is roam campus with my mask on. So I did. No where near as impressive as what OH' done here, but I did what I could.

Also, my housemates share the rage. I have just passed them the news of the arrests. The anger is there, we need to capitalize on it.

No arrests or fines, Obo. Not that that excuses the search.

Reason given? You could be carrying fireworks.

I despair. . .
