2008 shows how global warming is accelerating ...

... which is why I'm freezing my cock off and the heating's been on non-stop for the last 48 hours.

We've definitely reached a tipping point. The next cunt who opens his yap to witter on about global warming will be bludgeoned to death with the nearest frozen tree and have icicles shoved up his arse.

Yup. There is a fascinating parallel here between the Vested Interests in the property market who are desperately trying to talk up house prices and the Global Warmenists who are trying to talk up temperatures.

As house prices slide, Ms Earley of the Nationwide looks further and further back - i.e. earlier this year she was saying that prices are still higher than two years ago, now she is saying that house prices are still higher than five years ago and so on.

Similarly, when temperatures were (indisputably) going up in the 1990s or early 2000s, they'd say 'This year was warmer than last year'. Now that temperatures are going down again*, the MMGW brigade are now saying 'it is warmer than ten years ago' or 'You have to look at longer periods like thirty years' (obviously they choose a time frame from the most recent coldest year, preferably somewhere between 1950 and 1980).

* My bad, I mean to say "Now that natural fluctuations are masking the underlying warming trend", oops, off to Re-education Camp with me!

Hypothetically, I am a Climate Change Conslutant. If you come to me and ask me for a study (or if I write one off my own bat), I am hardly going to say "Nah, nothing to see, please move on".

Hypothetically, I am a medical researcher (well, I used to be one) and want a paper published. What looks better for funding: "Passive smoking - so what" or "Passive smoking - we're all gonna die!"?

Hypothetically, I work for a major newspaper. My editor has the choice of tongue-kissing me and giving me a bonus or butt-fucking and firing me. What sort of views should I seek out? Harold MacMillan or Al Gore? Patrician, calm' distinguished soldier, or alarmist, screeching war journalist?

Never underestimate the stupidity of people around you. If you know what the square root of 132(0) is without thinking too much, every second person you see is, on average, with a decent and unqualified sample size, likely to be dumber than even you are.

Scary, isn't it?

(0) The answer is, of course, 42.

I find it eerily cheering to be labelled a climate change 'denier', putting me on a moral par with holocaust deniers ( whose views I do not agree with but whose gagging I regard as highly illiberal ).

Mark Wadsworth I noticed about a year ago that the 'tacklingtheeffectsofmanmadeglobalwarming' community started saying that a 15 year cycle of Oceanic temps that has just been discovered ( fancy that ) would be in a cooling phase and thus 'mask' global warming for some years.
That will give them time to move onto another aspect of cultural marxism.

Whatever happened to acid rain ? nuclear winter ? How's the ozone layer doing these days ?

And how much money has Al Gore made from being the boss of a carbon offset brokerage ? 'King Hoon.

"...apparently it's now so bad it's causing earthquakes.."

*snort!* Does the BBC no longer have a science department then...?

This is exactly why it's now called 'climate change' - all bases covered for the the raising of revenue. Twats.

Stab them with the icicles and ram the frozen tree up their arse!

"As Thomas J Watson famously said all those years ago: "Fucking think, you cunt.""

Absolutely agree, the fucking cunts on board the gravy train are hardly likely to put their hands up and say "Whoops, we were wrong, have all these grants back, sorry!" any more than the cunts in the Westminster Bubble are going to lift their snouts from the trough.
