Fred the Shred

I'm kind of ambivalent about this, really. The guy entered into a deal and arseraped RBS up against the wall without lube. Now he's got a fat fucking pension and the Gorgon is threatening all sorts of cockwaffle because the government didn't do due diligence when they bought RBS. Fred was only looking out for himself, the government (as usual) didn't look before they pissed our money into a black hole.

So, as much as I hate the fact that I'm paying towards Fred the Shred's enormous pension, I'm not going to blame him for the incompetence of the government.

I kind of hope that he really does stick two fingers up at the monocular mentalist and laugh his guts out.

Update: Fred the Shred gives his side of the story. I'm even less minded to fuck with his pension now.

Update 2: John "Two Pensions" Prescott weighs (ho! ho!) in ...

Update 3: LPUK, The Devil, Prodicus and Quotegator all agree, and even Mrs Dale has a rethink.

I agree,Obo.

To force this issue is to break Rule of Law - contracts.

Gordon &Co are to blame for a lack of due dilligence...which about sums up the entire "toxic debt" debacle.

One angle I would suggest is to see if the Remuneration and Compensation Committee acted improperly, THEN the contract could be deemed a fraud, THEN* it could be torn up.

He's told Myners he's not going to give it back. Ball, court, in, Gorgon's. Be interesting to see whether the gummint tries to trash the rule of law again. Darling is muttering darkly about same.

They're all cunts, really, the whole lot of them.

They've told him that his pension is safe and obligations will be met, then slyly in the hope later on they could scapegoat him and try to withdraw it. Cynical Stuff. The man relaxing the rules must go, Pack your bags Brown and co.You were the architect of the boom , you beneifited and waxed lyrical at the times of high borrowing and relaxed lending you can no longer blame america, your a fool and a liability. Now please do the country a favour and fuck right off.

This was a diversionary target today to fog over the B of E Governors testimony at the H of Commons.

Then there was Handleman's privatisation of the Royal Mail to be kicked into the long grass/

Oh and finally the small sum of £24 billion losses and another £350 billion in bank bail-outs, guarantees or new shares.

The Newspapers are turning into the printed version of Morning Tele.

Well is your pussy psychic; we have the same fucking idiot on 5 times this morning, around the sofa to discuss it all and what it means for the Country.

Pap for masses.

So easily fooled, so easily led.

Love the fact Gods win, is blatantly refusing to give one penny up of his pension......sounds like he is not yet willing to be the Royal Bank of Slops, fall guy...

Well at 50 why should he be..? After all that hard work down those Myners...

Less we forget, that he did give up 1.3 mil in severance pay...he should be revered as a national fucking hero...surely?

Most of us will have sometime negotiated a pay deal. We go in asking for this, that etc but knowing that we almost caetainly won't get it.

l doubt if any of us would refuse if they offered us everything we asked for ... and would we give it back if they came and said we want to change this legally binding contract cos we've changed our minds?
