I think it's worth keeping ...

... if only as a vague reminder of a once great Britain.

There is an old girl who lives close who worked at Bletchley during the war, totally amazing woman who wears a chestful of medals at all the Rememberence services. She will tell anyone who will listen that labour are crap and have taken the country to the dogs every time they have been in power. My kids love her, youth can't all be bad!

Yes, well worth keeping, if only to recall how we stood pretty much alone while the fucking American's clawed their way out of recession by selling us munitions, making for a mountain of debt. No Marshall plan for Britain, just a pile of interest, plus when they did decide to get involved after Pearl Harbour, stealing such things as our scientific know-how, and generally shafting us in the "special relationship".

I've signed. I met this bloke Charles Exton who works as a part time volunteer guide at Bletchley.

Read the book 'Enigma' by Hugh Sebag-Montefiore.
Quite brilliant and goes into much detail of acts of bravery.

Sorry Penguin - we did get Marshall Aid. However, unlike our old enemies, we (or rather the Labour government on our behalf) spent it, the Germans invested it and decided to work for a living. By the mid-50s people were already talking about the German "miracle". No miracle - a hard-working people led by a sensible (until the SocDems got in anyway) government. We could have done the same: our governments (Labour and Conservative) chose not to.

Please, please, please feature this post. I am not a god botherer but I found this mint. I suspect that even the bible bashers have had enough of 'free speech' when it means in a Christian Country even the Christians voice is un heard. I reckon they are fighting back. Eye for an Eye etc. Lets see how many complaints this gets. Bearing in mind it's not just Christians, it's a group of The Christian party, the Trinitarian Bible Society and the Russian Orthodox Church. I have no God but if the 'Righteous' can do it so can any one else. Lets see how much coverage the Bollocking Bastard Cunts and the Daily wail give this one.

It's not a Britain that the powers that be wish to be reminded of thank you very much.

I've just signed. I do hope it is saved. I did 3 block release courses there when I was an apprentice with the Post Office Telephones (as it was then).

What really annoyed me, looking at the petition, was that Bill f**king Gates did'nt deem it worthy of his support. What a scumbag - he almost certainly wouldn't be a billionare if Bletchley Park didn't exist.

Signed. Could make a film to highlight it, but it would have to be full of yanks and based in Kansas.
