Exactamundo. I keep telling the Daily Wail and other papers who spout on about the extreme right wing that the BNP is a national SOCIALIST party. But it never sinks in. I said check out their manifesto, but these MSM journos are too fond of their labels. Where would they be without their number one bogey man?
This "right wing" meme may have come from the fact that the Left want to paint themselves as holding up the candle for freedom, when all they were doing was being against the socially conservative and in favour of whomsoever wanted to undermine or just annoyed the bejeezus out of the existing elite.
As so often happens the Left see things as
NOT(Left) = RIGHT
which is utter horse manure, not just for the basic logic error, but also because they were focused on the detail, not the conceptual.
It was, is and will be about Authoritarianism vs Libertarianism.
