Via Samizadata, I read these two articles about what regulation has done to Formula 1 and how to fix it.
I found it pretty interesting and thought-provoking. Hopefully it will make more people realise that regulation always benefits rich incumbents and makes competitive innovation more difficult.

I suspect you had your tongue wedged firmly in your cheek when typing that, why the hell else would we go to the trouble of writing regulations??
Why is there no swearing in this snippet? Are you under the weather?
Go fuck yourself, you goat-bothering, mouse-molesting, dick-cheese-munching arsevole!
Better?
Why not just add ballast, as they used to do in Touring Cars?
If you win, you have to carry the equivalent of one Prescott in extra weight for the next race, with weight penalties dropping to one Jacqboots for second and so on, down to a Blears for 8th place.
Alternatively, penalise the fastest cars by mandating the use of Microsoft software for their datalogging and management systems.
I for one never watch it as to me it looks like scalectric racing. To make it more inetersting put the fastest ones at the back see how they get on then. As at the moment its like a fucking procession fastest ones at the front and stay there ot to spice things up bring back Le Mans starts
