Beautiful, the carbon footprint of a can is probably even higher than of a plastic bottle, and you can't refill and reuse them. I hope they put carbonated water in them just to make absolutely sure!
I would suggest that an aluminium can is far more eco friendly than a plastic bottle. Smelting bauxite to make the raw material does use lots of energy, but once done it can be easily melted down and re-used over and over again.
Plastic is made largely from oil, and due the numerous varieties usually ends up getting shipped round the world to be dumped in China, rather than being recycled here.
