Thanks, but I find that the Real Player download plug-in is not compatible with 3.5. Much as I detest RP this does work well, and finds download links that Download Helper doesn't, so I'll sit on the fence for now until they fix it.
The same thing happened when FF2 was upgraded to FF3.
I downloaded it a few days ago and I do like it but will be glad when it's compatible with Norton toolbar for the log-ins, etc..
Been using Firefox since the problems with Internet Explorer not opening web pages such as yours, Grumpy's and other Blogger sites. The blogs look much better on Firefox, too.

Unless you need google gears which is currently unsupported. It should be out soon though
Cheers Obo, 'tis indeed a lot speedier
Before I risk yet more computer problems how did you install it?
1) Simply run an update over your existing installation, or
2) Completely un-install the existing one and start from scratch?
I just chose "check for updates" on the help menu and let it do its own thing.

I went cold when i saw it was one of those tar.bz things. Then i found Ubuntuzilla, what a pleasure.
My old firefox was getting a bit sluggish, 3.5 is much better.
Admit it, you didn't want the speed, just the new Porno (sorry - safe-surf)- Mode.
Ooh, speedy indeed! Thanks for the reminder.
Win!
Cheers, Obo.
Microdave, I went with a fresh download and install over v3.
Everything's retained, vis. history, cookies, preferences.

I did the "Check for Updates" routine, and afterwards the thing failed to load. Safe Mode didn't work either.
In the end, I downloaded the program, backed up my profile, and installed it over 3.0.
Worked just fine, bookmarks retained, and yes it is faster.
