Ouch!

Well, that wasn't a good result for the LPUK, was it? My (cold, black) heart goes out to Thomas who fought a good fight and must feel really disappointed. On the upside, it's very early days, we managed not to come last and we have actually learned something from this.

Congratulations to Chloe Smith, let us hope she serves Norwich North well!

And now we need to move on to the next battle.

The monster raving loonies beat us.

Let's allow that to sink in.

Note the typically Grauniad egregious dummy-spitting comment at 13:53: "The Tory candidate who came second in 2005 got more than 2,000 votes than Chloe Smith needed to win today."

Twats.

To be fair, and no disrespect intended to the chap in question, I do think it was a big mistake on the part of the party to choose one so young as the first candidate. I suspect you may have convinced a few more people to waste their vote at this stage with an older more plausible candidate.

Lets face it at the moment, the _anger_ at the Labour party is likely to cause the LP problems. I for one would like to vote for them but at the next GE I will be voting Tory and I hope and expect most other people to do the same.

First things first. Yes a LP govt would be _perfect_ but for now we just need to get rid of this utter cunt Brown and his even more pathetic cronies.

The monster raving loonies are nowhere near as monstrous, raving or lunatic as Brown and his bastard pet fuckturkeys. My freshly soiled underpants would beat labour in an election and what's more they'd be a whole lot more useful and able to run the country that the idiots who make up the Labour Party. As an initiation for people joining the labour party, all new members should have to shoot themselves in the head with an RPG. At least this way some Labour members could seriously be said to have half a brain.

It's a shame, it would have been nice to see a better spread amongst the independent parties (barring the Greens and BNP, that is).

Yeah well, I'm 50 and dull. And, as a real libertarian (I've read the fucking books, anyway), well...

I do wonder at what kind of support this young man got. How many people tried to help? How much money did he have? Did people go leaflet, did he have a coach or mentor ... you get the drift.

What gets me is how 6243 cuntfuckingtwats still voted Labour. DON'T THESE PRATS LEARN ANYTHING?! VOTE LABOUR, VOTE FOR SUICIDE IN SO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS!

Anyhoo, I'm glad UKIP made good ground.

Brown is visiting his North Queensferry home over the summer - it's only 20 mins from where I stay so I may pop over and see him. If only libertarianism in this country was so widespread that guns were legalised...

P.S. I know you're reading this Labour so here goes: OSAMA, TERRORIST, AL QAEDA, BOMB

Jesus H, what did you expect when you put up a candidate who hasn't even started shaving yet?
To quote Nelson Munz (Simpsons):

Ha Haa!!

LPUK should abandon such folly.

Yeah, your lad was about as much use as a chocolate teapot. Oh well, maybe next time (I do root for you boys but I'll probably have to throw my lot in with Farage's mob come the General, or even Macaroon, if it means keeping a LibDem out of office).

Nothing against him but he's far too young. I know it must be difficult getting people willing to stand but an 18-year-old?! I wouldn't.

Give him another ten or fifteen years and he may be the business but not yet and this will be a learning experience for him. Still, all the best to him for trying though.

I think I would have voted UKIP in this instance too and I suspect a lot of libertarian-leaning peeps did the same. Sorry, but I just don't find your party very appealing.
