Remember ...

... keep 'em peeled ...

I'm coming across a lot of posts on motoring fora about rozzers in unmarked cars trying to provoke people into "competitive" driving. I don't know if it's another planned "milk the driver" campaign or just a coincidence, but either way, be warned that the fucktards are out there, driving like dicks to take your money off you.

And no, they don't have anything better to do with their time, since you asked.

No blues'n'twos = they are speeding too.

So they can fuck off.

Nah, you will be ok. This week is taken up with Grind the Granny competition.

(That's right lads - max score for a one hit kill on the zebra but points deducted for any reversing.)

The local plod have a blue Subaru Impreza and a Silver Evo 7, both unmarked, that they use to play this game .. .. ..

I was talking to a rozzer the other week. He was telling me that they all have monthly targets and the traffic plod are no different. In order to justify their existence they have to capture as many 'offences' as possible and as the month draws to a close they rush to meet the targets set for them.

They call the tickets they issue 'sadness vouchers'.

Yup I've been tried out for this, too.

They overtake at 75, pull in front, slow down to 55, so you overtake, so they do it again, and again - presumably the idea is after three or four such, you lose the rag and zoom off at 90, then bingo, they've got you.

Didn't work with me - after three forced slow-downs, I pulled off into a layby and waited till they'd gone out of sight.

I did wonder if they'd make up some excuse to come and "have a word", but perhaps there was better sport elsewhere.

Do you have a link to any of these forum threads? I think they'd make interesting reading...

Latest couple were on PH Dave.

Not that a Peugeot driver would know what PH stands for.

This has been going on for a while. About five years ago I got tailgated on the M3 at night by a 4x4 Beemer. I just thought it was another prick living down to the reputation of BMW drivers and just slowed down slightly to give myself a huge gap ahead. Eventually he got bored and overtook and then finally I could see it was Plod. Aw, shame.

There have been reports of this kind of shit on PH for years. Raise a complaint with the chief constable of the force, copy the IPCC & CPS. Go to court and say you thought you were being car jacked.

Your car will end up on an ANPR watch list for purposes of harassment and intimidation , so change it, if you can.

All coppers are cunts. And if they weren't, they wouldn't work as tools of state oppression.

As long as you're sober, and confident your motor is MOT-worthy, I've always found the "brake test because I thought I saw a dog on the road" is a source of endless amusement.

Ha, I'm glad it's not just me.

I have a habit of launching away from traffic lights like it's the start of a grand prix, but given it's London I generally don't get very far through the gears before having to slow down again.

Twice in the past month cars have deliberately raced to get to my tail and then stayed inches from my boot. As I slow down by using the gears (brake discs are so expensive) or engine braking, this does cause them to stop rather suddenly.

Both times, at the next sets of lights, the cars pulled up alongside (once in a right turn only lane) and then raced to get past me. Having had time to look and see they were plod, I let them screech off.
