A constant reminder that life was so much better before the internet
"policy-based evidence making"
That passed into the language a few minutes after Labour started spouting on about "evidence based policy".
In research terms, I take this to mean "make the evidence up to fit whatever crackpot theory I want proved". Amongst other victims, I daresay the late Sally Clark would have something to say... As a University lecturer who has moved on to other things, any undergraduate who produced this sort of tosh would be lucky if I only threw it at the bin rather than them! Every time I think that Liebour have plumbed the depths, they start to dig!
surely Blair defined this years ago?
