Yawksher

Most of it is bloody nice, I must admit.

Apart from the conurbations, of course.

Ahh, you can always tell a Yorkshireman.... You just can't tell him much!

The bestest chippy I've ever had the pleasure of eating in was in Leeds. I'm sorry, but there it is.

Yorkshire is very nice (and I'm a Lancashire man...)

The Romans, even, never really tamed it either, and they were hot guys, even the Algerian auxilliaries that got sent there.

Never been, no plans to visit. Working for a bunch of tight arse Yorkshire wankers has put me off.

To sixtypoundsaweekcleaner:-

No sorry,

The best chippy is Mike's Fish and Chips, on Churchill Avenue, Churchtown, Southport, Lancashire.

He's closed on Monday eves, so sorry about that. But I drive miles to go to his, if I wand chips or fish or butties. Known him for years, good lad he is, him.

Hi Rab

Tykes are very similar to scotsmen

except for the generosity.

I suppose we must be grateful for an absence of the usual taunts re our traditional dress. (Knotted handkerchief and turned down wellies are only worn during the Pudding Harvest.)

And I stubbornly refuse to listen to anyone who thinks Yorkshiremen are know-it-alls.
