I deliberately stayed away from this story, because I knew it would get suitable coverage. But I was still interested in what the consequences might be -- although, to be fair, I was pretty sure of what the consequences would be.
And so it came to pass. Blatant thievery by a nonentity functionary in the political class and he is completely unfazed by it all. I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't exonerated by the inevitable "inquiry".
