Our own worst enemy

It's all too tiresome to explain the frustating and irritating details, but, by Christ, my employer is all too often its own fucking worst enemy. And at the root of it all is the same centralizing, micro-managing fucking around that seems to be the outcome of the New Labour project.

Honestly, doing something that is a perfectly reasonable requirement in my line of work turns out to be as painstaking and arduous as applying for working family tax credits.

I'm off to bang my head against the wall for a couple of hours.

For the fucking sake of jeezly cunting FUCK.

It's called British Management. Coat of Arms - Crossed Condoms Rampant over Crossed Spanners - Motto - 'If you can't Fix It, F*ck It'

Does it involve performance management by any chance?

I hope all your objectives this year are SMART.

Remember, there is no 'I' in team. And the five p's. Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performace. Also, never assume, it only makes an ass out of you and me...

Obo

Why do you blog about your work worries when you don't put any context to it? We don't know what you do, what the issues are, what you are asked to do in these situs. These posts are totally pointless and useless. Either add flesh to the bones or stop boring people.

Funny enough, JD, everyone else here gets it. Al Jahom "got it" enough to link to it.

So the odd one out is you.

I guess that's because you don't have a real job.

Everyone who has ever had to deal with 'management' gets it. Management always suffer from piss poor performance and then blames you the worker for it. They remind me of politicians...

There are SOME good managers out there. But they don't usually get very far up the hierarchy, or suddenly take early retirement.

I fukin hate "management" when they spout words like "center of excellence" and "at the end of the day" and others too asinine to repeat I just switch off, They may as well be humming for all the sense they make.

Those that can do ...the rest teach or manage.

Fair do's, but I would be interested in specifics.

At my "staff appraisal" the partners (who don't take it very seriously either) asked me "Where do you think you'll be in five years' time?" and I answered "Sitting here talking to you." and they took it well.

Speaking as your employer (I'm assuming you're public sector), I'd be grateful if you could devote more time to what you're paid to do.

Whatever happened to those "Investors in People" Cunts ? Have they moved into the Global Warming sector perhaps ?

Or the twats screaming at you 'it's all about the customer, make the customer happy' and then put up dirty great big fucking roadblocks to you making the customer happy, and then screaming at you 'its.......'

or on the other hand totally tank the moral of the place then ask why the fuck we're not happy, then when you get the answers ignore what was said and just carry on fucking us over

and just as an aside why do all the managers seem to be about fucking twelve!!!!!
