I'd like to go back in time and assassinate ...

It's clear to me that this was really just an old-school Labour lefty thug playing to the crowd by saying something that they have all said or thought. None of the righteous are up in arms about this, because Thatcher is an "approved target".

I made the comment on twitter that if it was a joke, it would have been funny. Sunny Hundal then said that it was all in the timing and delivery. He has also been making disparaging remarks about Tories not having a sense of humour. I wonder how he'd feel about faux murderous attacks on Michael Foot or John Smith. I also wonder why the self-righteous who bleat on about sexist jokes encouraging rape aren't up in arms about making jokes about killing a woman.

Personally, I don't give a fuck about Thatcher, I think she was hugely overrated by both the fans and her opponents. But if you're going to be self-righteous, you hypocritical fuckers, then you should be consistently so.

Approving of hateful jokes just because the target is an untermensch is a bit, well, 1930's, really.

I have no idea what story this is referring to.

Click the word "thug".

Ah yeah I missed that.

McDonnell also supports the IRA, who actually did try to murder Margaret Thatcher, so I doubt that it is simply a botched joke.

John Smith's already been got at. Better to go back and chop Cyclops' balls off; then we could laugh at the silly voice and make up rude songs about the cunt.

Fuckers can say what they like at the moment, as Liebour stock has never been lower, and the real face of Socialism can be given an outing.

Wonderful "Init"?

If I stood up somewhere public and said those exact words I'm pretty sure Mr Plod would be on me in a moment and I'd be dragged off down the nick on some spurious charge or other.

So why is this NuLieBore dog-turd still on the loose?

It cost blogger Paul Chambers £1k when he jokingly threated to blow up Robin Hood Airport.

McDonnell should also be penalised.

Threats to kill, contrary to Offences Against the Person Act 1861 section 16 as substituted by Schedule 12 of the Criminal Law Act 1977:

(1) A person who without lawful excuse makes to another a threat, intending that that other would fear it would be carried out, to kill that other or a third person shall be guilty of an offence and liable on conviction on indictment to imprisonment for a term not exceeding ten years

(Archbold 19-124 to 19-129)

Threats can be calculated and premeditated, or said in the heat of the moment. The defendant does not have to have the intention to kill but there has to be an intent that the person to whom the threat has been issued would fear it would be carried out. Where it is doubtful whether the threat carried the necessary intent a charge under Section 4 Public Order Act 1986 may be appropriate.

Oh and before we get the scientists jumping in....

The theory of Climate Change and that of General Relativity does suggest there are scientific grounds for thinking backwards time travel could be possible in certain unusual scenarios, although arguments from semiclassical gravity suggest that when quantum effects are incorporated into general relativity, these loopholes may be closed.

These semi classical arguments led Hawking & et al Jones to formulate the chronology protection conjecture, suggesting that the fundamental laws of nature prevent time travel, but physicists cannot come to a definite judgment on the issue without a theory of climate change, quantum gravity to join quantum mechanics and general relativity into a completely unified theory.

Glad you mentioned 'consistency'. I think this is the libertarian strong point - it's a (generally) consistent philosophy.

Most socialists seem to be entirely inconsistent in their beliefs. Champagne socialism anyone?

Yep, that's a troll alright!

What the fuck has climate change got to do with quantum physics and time travel?
