I remember we were on holiday's in fuerteventura a few years back and they had a Falco tribute act, I have never seen so many Germans so excited. There were hundreds there from other holiday parks all over the island. I was chatting to one of them and he was saying that he is still huge in Germany even though he has been dead for a number of years.

I think you'll find Amadeus has been dead rather longer than that.
