As if by magic

*snigger*

So much for localism.

clerks issue yard sale permits

What the fuck? You have to apply for a licence to sell a bike with no wheels and a bbq where the bottom has rusted out out of your own garage?

Jesus Christ.

Yep, welcome to the land of the free! ;o)

That's impressive - their police officers used to cost the town $130,000 each per year.

What a great example. Goes to show that localisms can work.

A small central authority set the objectives and are accountable to taxpayers. All service provision is then outsourced.

Exactly what I believe in.

'pool resources [and] do things more cheaply'

I like it. But it's hardly the Ancap model.

I'm sorry, but you, Obo, should probably accept KingBingo's argument. In this case. Possibly the only case. Troll or not.

This is a great case because you can point at it and say look, it works. Crime down, service up, cost down.

That's pretty powerful.

People like me who believe in extremely small governments, are in the tiny minority in this country, I don't know what but say less than 5%, if that, maybe 2%.

But Ancaps?? That's a tiny minority within libertarianism itself.

The point is Obnoxio, I think its vaguely possible to convince the largest majority of people in this country of this model in my lifetime, not likely certainly, but vaguely possible.

But with Anarchy I think your flogging a dead horse. Even IF your actually right. Its going nowhere.

That's your opinion. Would you care to offer any proof of any of those assertions?

Beyond common sense, the balance of probabilities and the strikingly obvious.

No, not really.

Anarchism is never going to capture the public imagination any time soon is it?

Surely even a blinkered zealot like you can admit that much.

So, just your opinion, then.

Glad we've cleared that up.
