So, once again *I* am somehow the cunt

So, apparently blood transfusion is to be privatised. Cue lefty twitter cockwafts claiming that they will no longer donate blood to save their fellow human beings after decades of doing so, because someone will profit from it.

When I pointed out that this means you think a human life is less important than objecting to the profit motive, I got blocked. Apparently, you should only be altruistic if your funding model is adhered to. Never mind how many people may die because of your petty, arrogant attitude.

There's cunts, fucking cunts, and then there's this. Your political persuasion is more important than someone else's life.

Jesus.

Be honest, you aren't really surprised at this, are you?

Nothing is more important to the lefties than appearances.

If organ donation is changed to presumed consent I will stop carrying a donor card and opt out.

Is that putting political principles above human life?

I don't know. Why would you do that?

Does this mean someone or something will be properly culpable if folks receive contaminated blood? No hiding behind the NHS bureaucracy? If so then I move from having no opinion on the subject to favouring privatisation if it helps reduce fuck ups.

Here's a thought. Blood donors should preferably be young and healthy. Student types fit the bill. Here's a way to contribute to society and to your student fees at the same time! Sell your blood. Win, win!

I cannot donate organs or blood, though I did when it was still possible. I donated and cared not who got it, whether a price was put on it or anything else. It was to prolong lives, be it in normal surgery or emergency medicine. In the not too distant, I shall be requiring a healthy liver and LOTS of blood. I hope very much that bloody silly gestures by the bewildered don't reduce the population from which these may be harvested.

Presumably, if the profit motive must be eliminated from healthcare, they will object to any salaries being paid to doctors, nurses, and so on.

Then we'll see whether the staff have any less of a profit motive than the owners of the business.

Take a moment to think about this. Would you really want the blood of a fully paid up lefty to be running through your veins? Surely death would be a far better option?

Just read an email from head of unite. It was so whingy looney left (those eveeeel Tories!) that I didn't understand a word of it (but then I am thick). Trust Obo to explain it succinctly. Light dawns.

Certainly NOT! They all have aids.

Most of them would probably relent in the end then go and steal extra biscuits afterwards to make a protest that or spit them in the nurses face.

Miliband has made the left wimpy but trying. Like he uses the dumbells meant for girls instead of hulk hogan specials.

So ... it'll be the cheepest tea-bags, reused at least ten times, and skimmed milk from now on.

Biscuits will be a long distant memory.

Fuck that.

Quoth Obo: "Why?"

Because there are things I'll volunteer for that I will not be be enslaved to do. And if you give up your principles just because you're dead, they can't have meant all that much when you were alive.

Who cares if someone's making a profit at the end of it? Even if blood transfusion sat in the hands of the public sector, it's likely some overpaid executive that many state bodies seem to employ. The money's going into someone's pocket, and there's probably not much difference between it landing in a private sector exec's pocket or a public exec's pocket. At least taxpayer's money isn't squandered on the private sector...
