But alas, it was not meant to be. Occasional, stupid, illiberal, vote-grabbing policies and the rawness of their politicians shown up by smooth careerists have been firmed up into more frequent stupid, illiberal, vote-grabbing policies and their politicians are gradually having their raw edges knocked off. Soon, we won't be able to tell them apart from the Liberal Democrats.
How sad.

There were a number young activists <~~ should there be an 'of' in there? Or were you going for a rural twang...
Would those be the same "young activists" promoting bestiality, necrophilia and incest? Or the extreme anarchic capitalists? Going too far in any political spectrum will be detrimental to mainstream politics. Just look at the left.
The more UKIP comes under the spotlight the more extreme their ideas will seem.People who hold to decent "British" values will be frightened off
These excellent young activists, such as Alexandra Swan, should join a true libertarian party. We need one in the UK.
Except the Liberal Democrats do not normally make Homophobic comments, spout religion or post Nazi Salute pictures on Facebook.
All the above HAVE been done by UKIP Councillors in recent weeks!
^ Pro Liberty www.proliberty.org.uk is your friend.
There is no substance to UKIP at all. No intellectual depth. No coherent analysis - and poor politicians who spout platitudes. An irrelevant protest movement not a political party.
May I ask what the policies you talk of are?
"Would those be the same "young activists" promoting bestiality, necrophilia and incest?"
Believing that something doesn't violate the non-aggression principle and therefore shouldn't be illegal isn't the same as promoting something.
"Or the extreme anarchic capitalists"
You're the one reading an anarcho-capitalist blog here...
UKIP is a protest party and it wont gain a seat. Danger is that it will rob Conservative seats and lead to a Milliband victory.
We know what this will bring !!!
You're quite right. They have no interest in liberalising interest rates
