These must be for those taking the Z end paper surely? I would be ashamed to try them out on a 7 year old let alone a 16 year old taking GCSE maths. No wonder our engineering students have to be given a remedial maths course. We got algebra, trig, geometry and log problems in O level maths when I was a lad.
But never mind, according to the BBC, the TIMMS (or some similar jumble of letters) study shows that Britain's schoolkids are in the top 10 in the world for mathmatics and science.

Some mistake, surely? I swear I remember those questions from my eleven-plus arithmetic paper, decades ago.
