I am not making this up!

The police do seem to be a little bit out of control:

Still think that if you're innocent, you have nothing to fear from surveillance and control laws? Have a look at this news-video about Stephen Clarke, a man who was accused to taking pictures of sewer-gratings in Manchester and arrested. Though the police couldn't find any photos of sewer-gratings on his phone (and even though "what a sewer grating looks like" isn't a piece of specialized terrorist intelligence), he was held on suspicion of planning an act of terror, imprisoned for two days while the police searched his home, his phone and his computer. When they couldn't find anything suspicious, they released him, but kept his DNA on file, as the biometric of someone who had been accused of plotting a terrorist act.

The Police have become paranoid and cant catch real criminals, the lunatics really have taken over the fucking asylum

The lunatics have not taken over the asylum, but have escaped and are busy building a fence around the whole country because the outside world full of freedom is too scary for the Institutionalised.

Imprisoned for 2 days on suspicion. House searched etc. Jeeeeeeze, don't these twats use profiling re terrorists?

I hope he sues for false imprisonment etc. Unless this wretched anti terrorism act precludes that. Talk about gestapo. If you have nothing to hide you have everything to fear. Since there was no grating pix on his phone and he didn't have a camera........why can't these morons put these things together and realise he wasn't taking fucking pictures in the first place and some twat of an informer was wrong?

OMG, 'informer'.

Out of curiosity, how many of you folks have had a guffaw at Americans clinging to their firearms? Still laughing?

Personally, I've never laughed at the right to bear arms. I consider it to be as natural as breathing.

As you know...My DNA is, according to Gordon, helping catch rapists, serial killers, terrorists...Nice to know I'm doing my bit to help convict these criminals... Isn't it?
