Quote of the day

Heh!

Commenting on the Footsie, David Buik of BGC Partners, pointed out that the FTSE 100 is now lower than when Tony Blair won the 1997 general election.

"What a waste of a decade that was," he said.

Certainly was. A waste of decades to come, too. This incompetent shower of fuckwits still get 28% support, IF polls are to be believed. What a country we have become.

Since when is this news? Any stock market historian will tell you that the FTSE (or any predecessor index) has never shown real positive returns while Labour were in government.

A better quote of the day.....
Well known philanthropist Conrad Black on life inside, as reported in The Times today:
quote
(Conrad Black) .... refuses to concede that his social life has been harmed by his incarceration.
"My circle hasn't so much changed as expanded".
unquote

So that's a lifetime's supply of soft cushions for Mr. Black, please.

The only bright spot is that G Mc Doom doesnt look very healthy at the moment(see the picture of him arriving in the US).Perhaps salvation is nearer than we can all hope.

Yep. I'd have been better keeping the money under my mattress instead of investing it in an ISA for the past 5 years. It's now worth far less than I have paid in.

On the plus side, I'm buying up units at an incredible rate and there's still 10 years till he takes the cash and buggers off to Uni, after telling me he hates me.

The ISA is intended as a fund for my son, by the way. Forgot that bit.
