It's just a few bad apples, honestly!

They really are all at it. There is no difference between their policies, there is no difference between their moral standards.

Are you tired of funding a bunch of useless trough-snouting bastards who want to rule the minutiae of your life while they get away with unlimited venality and corruption?

You know what to do!

Obby, I like your blog, but the Libertarian party aren't the solution. Nor are ALL the MPs equally culpable.

Why would you presume a LPUK MP, should a miracle ever occur to deliver one, wouldn't do precisely the same as some of the ones being reported right now?

Take a look at some of the candidates being fielded by the Libertarians. We've got one in my town. I wouldn't let them run a jumble sale.

I'm sure that all the MPs will have at least one claim that would get you or me sacked, but because they will be so trivial compared to Five Bellies or McNumpty, they won't even rate a mention. I'm pretty certain they ARE all equally culpable.

Because we would be far more transparent about our expenses than anyone else has suggested.

I wouldn't let them run a jumble sale.

Ok, so let's look at the bang-up job done by the highly educated, intelligent Fettes boy, Anthony Blair. How about the bang-up job done of rail privatisation by the queen of all Tories, Maggie T? Or even the masterful job of running the economy done by the Rt Hon Gordon Brown? How about the judgment shown by George Osborne when it comes to yachts? Or how about the intellectual rigour of the newly buttered potato flying to the North Pole to show up global warming or his "hug a bicycle thief" campaign? Or even the fantastic job the Tories have done overall over the last twelve years to hold the Labour shower to account? The fact that Labour and Tory policies are so close that Tory ideas could be nicked by Labour and triumphally hoisted as a huge step forward ... all the while achieving the square root of fuck all?

You might not let the Libertarians run a jumble sale, but your tribal nature has blinded you to how useless your own party is.
