Most of the questions were about the __practicalities and details of access__ to Public Services!
You and I both failed (I got 13/24 also) because we thought it was about British culture, history, our place in Humankind's Pantheon, and the like. It's __NOT!__
It's all about how you go about asserting your "rights" and "entitlements".
This is _very sinister_ ...
It is designed to pass all those groups who want to bone up especially on how they go about getting dosh and "entitlements", and data about same, and designed to _fail_ people like you and me.
Wait soon, for the announcement that indigenous whites will all have tot nake it every 5 years, or have their right to remain "denormalised".
Scored 15/24 and still failed. However, I fail to see the relevance of some of the questions e.g. "When did women win the right to divorce their husbands?" It's utterly fucking irrelevant since the act is over 100 years old. It is sufficient to know that they can not when it fucking happened.
Q21 is also wrong. The maximum speed limit on single carriageway road is whatever the signed speed limit says it is. The way the question is worded and the response suggests that you could travel at 60 mph regardless of the signed limit
"David Davis" is right; having reviewed the questions again they are mostly about entitlement and nothing about culture.
15/24 - like you others I assumed this might be about what being British might mean and (he whinges) I got all those sorts of questions right. But why in the name of Gordo should I know about the New Deal and the similar entitlement questions? And since when does getting nearly 60 percent mean a fail (whingeing continues)?
That is not a fecking citizen's test, that is a carefully crafted test to encourage welfare and benefits behaviour i.e. if you know how to claim you're welcome, if you don't, we don't want you murdering and stealing. Or working for a living.
Disgraceful...
Still, check my blog out for the latest incarnations of totalitarianism: the fecking green nazis have invaded...
Yeah, I failed it as well. Interestingly one of the questions I answered incorrectly was: 'You can attend a hospital without a GP's letter only in the case of an emergency.' To which I answered 'false'.
Because....
Er.....
The clap clinic.
It's at the hospital. You don't need a GP's letter. It ain't an emergency.
I got 17/24 and I failed! Is this test designed to accomodate a) people with a knowledge of British culture and history or b) people with a knowledge of New Labour's policies?
The government are dissolving the people, and electing another.

You have missed the point of the test!

Likewise...
You have failed the practice citizenship test.
Questions answered correctly: 13 out of 24 (54%)
I feel in good company though...

14/24. Beat you. Piss off, wog!
Erm.. I failed - 12/24, does that mean I can start over claiming benefits straight away, or do I need to change my religion first?

Oh FCUK, only 50%...
I agree that it's carefully worded to catch us out.
Q21 IS correct - but once again it's the wording - The MAXIMUM speed IS 60, BUT it can be less according to signed restrictions....

Now why did I know that......?
Can anyone (obo? you're a techie kind of chap) confirm that this is really a government website? Is it possibly a spoof?
@Robert: the whois record shows that the site belongs to The Stationery Office, so yeah, it looks like a real government site.
