Just. Fuck. Off.

OK?

A BRIT chemist who helped flood the UK with meow meow has warned of an even DEADLIER legal high about to hit us.

Worried Dave Llewellyn told The Sun that the new drug NRG-1 will be "Britain's worst nightmare" leading to mass brain damage and death.

And:

The chemical make-up of both mephedrone and naphyrone are only slightly different - and BOTH are terrifyingly similar to ecstasy.

Look, I'm the least drug-addled person out there. I've never, ever even taken a puff of weed, let alone disco biscuits or any such crap. But this just reeks of made-up bollocks to me. Half the fucking stuff in the world will have some sort of upper or downer effect on you and kill you if you OD on it. Fuck, you can even OD on water (it's called "drowning", look it up) ... so why the fuck are people getting so piss-arsed about something that costs 25p a hit? It's unlikely to lead to a major crime surge at that price.

And people are always going to try and get squiffy. Why the fuck are you trying to stop them? You may as well try and stop the tide from coming in, like that other King Cunt.

Fucking morons.

In defence of King Canute, he was trying to demonstrate to his obsequious courtiers that there were limits on his power and that he couldn't stop the tide from coming on.

Apart from that, agreed. Why on earth should the government try (and fail miserably) to stop people from poisoning themselves?

I truly despair - don't these truly useless fuckers EVER learn ? ...

Haven't they heard of the USA's attempt at prohibiting alcohol - which just made crooks rich, while criminalisng a vast swathe of the population ? ...

Don't they see the parallel with today ? - the more you ban, the more lucrative 'underground' production becomes ! ...

Before WW1, you could legally buy Cocaine \ Coco Leaves, Heroin, Opium, etc. from your local chemist and indulge to your heart's content - 'damage' \ drug-related crime ? - insignificant ! ...

As to the 'danger of harm' - well - the first rule of toxicity, is that "the poison's in the dose" !!! ...

EVERYTHING is deadly if sufficient is consumed ...

Yes but they worry about the cost to the NHS. I don't give a fuck about the cost to the NHS. They should have thought about that when they started it. If the NHS stuck to curing illnesses and not tattoo removal and fertility treatment and drug rehab it would not cost so much and people would have to pick up the tab for fucking themselves up with alcohol or drugs--or tattoos

Its the same old story. They haven't a clue what to do so they must make a law to ban it, because of course that will work.
I really am seriously losing the will to live.

It is depressing. And most of The Sun's hacks are notorious cokeheads, so bansturbating over "legal highs" is hypocrisy of the worst kind.

The "drain on the NHS" argument is very risky for anyone who makes it, because it's a mandate for the State to dictate your lifestyle to conserve NHS resources, and a call for official discrimination against anyone deemed "unhealthy". Once the process has started, there's no well-defined point where it becomes too intrusive and too controlling.

I think lack of air does too

Dear Mr Clown

Death by overdosing on water is called hyper-hydration, which causes fatal electrolyte imbalances. You have to drink about 30 pints in a day. And stay off the salt.

Drowning would be the equivalent of being immersed in three tons of cocaine which would cause death by suffocation probably quicker than ODing on the cocaine by snorting large quantities of it (actual this needs some research - please compile lists of your favoured 'guinea pigs', but where do you apply for the grants for that much cocaine?).

Hope this helps.

Depends if your on the sweeties anon.

What they dont tell you is, that most of the people who supposedly died from taking ecstasy, actually died from following the advice of health officials to drink lots of water while using it.

They died from drinking too much water, not from the ecstasy itself.

fucking brilliant if you are a person who has not indulged in narcotics. If people want to kill themselves they would do it with a cliff or a knife in the absence of drugs so make them readily and chemically purely available and then let us decide wtf we put in our bodies. Also take the prejudice out of someone who likes a coffee being better than a raver.

The best bit is, being drugged up or not is no defence in the law for committing a crime so I could not give three flying fucks if you want to spend $8000 on a gram of shite that makes you sweat to death or if you use it an excuse for stabbing your child to death.
I do like the odd joint however, ooopsie ;)

I would like to add I have never stabbed anyone or felt like killing myself after a joint.

just sleep and the odd giggle

And the odd rambling comment on a blog, eh?

I do most my rambling in the countryside, on a Sunday, right after a joint, usually beef and roast.

Isn't that the purpose of blogs, to ramble in as much anonymity as you care to have, perhaps come to some serious conclusions occasionally, the odd bit of fun. You almost had me thinking this was a serious work then Obo and I might have upset you. Hope you got the thanks and the credit over at Julia's btw.

The guy sells the stuff in Antwerp. Looks like he's clicked that cake mephedrone was losing it's shelflife and he's using the Sun to open up a market in NRG.

Anyway, if they're like sweeties get in and amongst it.

Adults should be allowed to be stupid at their own expense should they want to. As long as they don't bugger up someone else's life under the influence of course.

Mike said...

yup, and they already do with booze n fags. Its only tradition that decides which drug of choice is in favour as time passes.

Tax it, regulate it and let each adult decide for themselves. Educate children of cause and effect.

I'm not saying go do drugs but criminalising people over a random selection of substances does not work and is wrong.
