A constant reminder that life was so much better before the internet

Is it me?
So I've tried to watch Inglorious Basterds three times now, and every time I've eventually given up to watch something entertaining, like an old CSI or NCIS re-run.
It was a ghastly film with the American lieutenant cast as a good old Southern boy war criminal in charge of an all-Jewish group of enlisted war criminals. Just your garden variety WWII GIs fight the Hun kind of movie.
The SS colonel was just superb and for that reason alone the movie is worth watching. The rest is pure garbage, with possible exception of the scene in the bar.

It is just one of those films that you can't switch off to, similar to The Dark Knight.
If you aren't aiming to 'relax' fully then Inglorious Basterds is a really good film.
It's not you...
Similarly, watched "There Will Be Blood" the other night. It was all I could do not to beat the TV into tiny tiny pieces once it had finished.
There will be blood is a masterpiece.
No, you were right. It's shit.
Still not made it all the way through, plenty more DVD's on the shelf to get through before I'll try again.
It's a steaming great pile. I'd rather gouge my eyes out with rusty spoons that try watching that load of bollocks again.
IB was fucking brilliant and if you don't like it there's something wrong with you.
TWBB, on the other hand, was dreadful.
