Since I can't see my comment making it past moderation...

This post made me snort. My reply:

The only problem with your idea is that it's fucking stupid.

Obama is a Chicago machine politician, ruthless, unprincipled and amoral, who happens to have the talent of reading off a teleprompter well. That doesn't make him a good politician.

And the Rudd thing actually just undermines your whole argument: "look, a politician doing something that any normal human being would do anyway." This deserves so much praise that you actually want to build a fucking website around it?

There is no such thing as a good politician: they are all in it for the gain or the self-aggrandizement, or worse, to make us all live how they think the little people should live.

OK, so there is such a thing as a good politician -- a dead one. But that's not something that deserves a website, is it?

Probably something to do with me removing the line that said "Don't be a fucking cunt all your life." :o)

Every sensible and intelligent person knows that politicians are scum. Shakespeare knew it hundreds of years ago. What's wrong with this guy?

What is it with Obama's speeches?

I find them to be turgid, bland, meaningless crap delivered in a pleasant enough but uninspiring drawl. He doesn't even do snappy sound bites like "Get on your bikes" or "Crisis what crisis?" or "axis of evil".

If the "Chosen One" didn't have a team of speech writers behind him and a good teleprompter operator in front of him; he'd just be another corrupt Chicago politician.
Oh, hang about ...

Politicians? Well, we certainly wouldn't miss them. What use are they? I suppose they're entertainment...of the Eastenders variety (I'm enjoying the revelations of the beautiful Nadine, at the moment).

Do they cost the taxpayer as much as the BBC licence fee? Probably more.

Would it be too much to expect them all to resign? On the grounds that it would be the decent thing to do.

His 'splashing through the rain puddles' imagery made me want to put a corkscrew inside my head to try and extract the memory of having heard it.

Vomit-inducing.

Watch Kevin Rudd on YouTube helping out with the floods, and I challenge you not to puke. (Search for "Kevin Rudd lends a hand".)

That was a sympathetic account too. I imagine Rudd, a notorious micro-manager, spent most of his time giving people ridiculous orders. Since he has no practical experience of anything in his life except for politics, he was probably more of a hindrance than a help.

He was probably secretly thrilled by the whole situation. What an awesome publicity opportunity it was. What amazing visuals.

If you know anything about the man, you will know I'm not being overly cynical.

If I'd done all that I'd be secretly thrilled. It would fuck up Fox News day, having to report on an unemployed claimant contributing to the good of society. Then I could talk about the Daily Mail not paying taxes and Murdoch's fat bribing suppressing the UK democratic process

I can see what Taylor's driving at : trad media finds it difficult to constantly photograph Dave Spoon the armalite weilding balaclava faced waiter-killer, for obvious reasons. The problem as you folk expose, there is very little context for loving politicians. But jettisoning the lets-bomb-heck-illegally bomb- a-nigger-oil-country brigade (of which many are complicit), loveable politicians exist for periods of time. Tom Watson in the UK is one example.

I sense my argument about to go around in circles...lying, defaulting, thieves bah fuck the loveable villian, i mean don't fuck them!

ps "Matthew Taylor: Chief Adviser on Political Strategy to the Prime Minister before 2006?" By his own admittance one of said brigade.

You might think Tom Watson is "loveable", I think he's a prime example of utter cuntitude. So, you're just as wrong as Matthew fucking Taylor.

Why are you so cruel to Bollock Obumhole - I think you're just plain beastly!

Rudd is a cunt. He reduced some poor bird to tears on a VIP flight when he was PM.

He;d have good a 'special' meal from me - full of my tadpoles to push down his greasy, fat cunt mouth. I spurt ropes of jism over his specisal fucking meal, and add a few bogeys as garnish.

Fucking slob bogan.
