And once again I can't believe my eyes

For the fucking sake of fucking fuck:

THE government is to cut the national speed limit from 60mph to 50mph on most of Britain’s roads, enforced by a new generation of average speed cameras.

The reduction , to be imposed as early as next year, will affect two thirds of the country’s road network. Drivers will still be able to reach 70mph on motorways and dual carriageways and 60mph on the safest A roads.

Jim Fitzpatrick, the roads minister, defended the plan, which will be the most dramatic cut since 1978, when the national speed limit was reduced from 70mph to 60mph.

Well, Jim, you little cock-sniffing weasel, rest assured that you have just beaten Gordon Brown for my vote of "first up against the wall come the revolution", matey.

For fuck's sake, what is wrong with this government that if feels the only way to fix anything is to be more draconian and more restrictive? And what the fuck is wrong with the great British public that we just sit there and fucking take it?

I HATE THIS FUCKING HECTORING, BULLYING, FASCIST GOVERMENT. You fucking cunts can't get face cancer soon enough for me.

Update: Facebook group here.

Obbie, it's another tax wheeze, innit? Too many fuckers were happy with 60. Fast enough to get somewhere, slow enough to text on the mobile, like Lordy Lord Ahmed. So bugger 60mph, reduce it and rake in "barrow loads of cash". A fine will be automatically £10 billon in a years time.
I heard on the grapevine that wheelbarrows are being stockpiled at army bases. Only for use by bankers and Government employees.

For the unaware... the 'new generation of average speed cameras' won't be the point-to-point ones some of us see on the roads currently. Rather, they will be a networked cluster of cameras that can cover an entire area consisting of several roads even.

It won't be long before someone drives into one of these zones and effectively loses their licence by the time they exit it; having zoomed past several seemingly unconnected cameras along the way.

They are planning them all along the M1 aswell

Its not about the money though though that is part of it

Its about database and making sure every damnable car and it owner are on one just like in New Zealand

Let's take this hypothetically forward a few years.

Once whole swathes of the driving population have racked up enough points for disqualification, will they just cease to drive? Perhaps, but that's hardly going to aid the economy is it? Not going to aid that individual if they need to get around to earn a living.

More likely is that, since the methods used will be seen as unfair, driving while disqualified won't carry the same stigma.

Many more will risk it ---> many more uninsured drivers.

Government will notice the problem, produce statistics showing that there has been a massive increase in non-insured drivers, and propose 'Insurance Discs' to be displayed on windscreens which can be scanned by a new generation of roadside insurance cameras.

More fines, more surveillance, more legislation.

How far do people need to be pushed before they push back?

To track and control the population, and make a buck out of it too.

Time to assemble piano wire, trees and politicians.

I reckon that once a few rural communities have discovered the "joys" of getting fined by robot, the sales of buckshot cartridges for 12-bore shotguns will rocket.

Just ask yourself these questions:

If there's to be two different speed limits (50mph on single carriageway A roads and 60mph on the "safest" A roads), who the fuck is going to pay for all the new speed limit signs? And the signs saying watch out for average speed cameras and the fucking camera systems themselves?

Don't they know there's a fucking depression on? Doesn't look like it does it?

Whats the betting they also squander a bit more by having signs telling you you're on a safer bit of road and can travel a bit faster thanks to the fucking nanny roads agency, or whatever its called by then. Cunts.

I am truly fucked if I know.

who the fuck is going to pay for all the new speed limit signs?

The government has a limitless pot of money, and it all comes from our pockets.

If a 14 year old Liverpudlian can hack into the Fort Knox access codes and a UFO spotter can do the same to NASA`s codes is it not beyond the realms of possibility to do the same to some of HMG`s computer banks.
Think of the hours of innocent fun you could have playing around with HMRC, the ID database, the DNA storage files...etc.
All purely hypothetical of course.

Jesus, that photo!

If you looked up the word 'cocksniffer' in a picture dictionary, that's the man you would see.

Taxi and delivery costs to go up as less can be done in the time available. Therefore more vehicles on the road, so mkore accidents.
More fuel used etc etc.

BRAINLESS and ill thought through.

I think you're being a bit unfair tococksniffers, personally...:)

Why are you worrying about it? By the time Gordon has finished arse raping the economy the fastest thing on the road apart from the ministerial cars will be horses and carts. 50mph is going to seem like a fucking dream.

Give them some credit; you seem to have missed the fact that the great British public is fleeing Britain at record rates before Brown bans emigration altogether.

This is Phase One.

Phase Two introduces a 'triple whammy' to eliminate road deaths, increase Government revenue AND reduce unemployment.

Under the circumstances, 'cocksniffer' is so mild it's almost pleasant.

As transport is a devolved issue you can be sure this won't be applying to Scotland.

Hmmmm, Mr Next Generation Camera...meet Mr Sticky Bomb.

Its about time these cunts woke up to the fact that speed does not kill, its inappropriate speed that kills.

For example, 100mph on a clear open A-Road MAY be totally safe if the visibility and stopping distances allow it. Conversely 40mph on the same stretch of road in foggy, icy or wet conditions could well be lethal.

Its bad driving that causes the problems, but as the majority of forces have reduced their traffic divisions sizes due the the massive increase in cameras (which cannot catch bad drivers) this bullshit will not save a single life IMHO.

I believe the only exception to this is Durham who hold no truck with speed cameras, and maintain a good safety record by effective traffic policing.
