Jaw-dropping

I simply cannot believe my eyes:

"Sir Fred should not be counting on being £650,000 a year better off as a result of this because it is not going to happen," she said.

"The Prime Minister has said it is not acceptable and therefore it will not be accepted.

"It might be enforceable in a court of law this contract, but it's not enforceable in the court of public opinion and that's where the Government steps in."

Lady, are you fucked in the head, or what? Since fucking when does the court of public opinion count for fucking shit? And where do you get the idea that public opinion is in favour of the Shred losing his pension anyway? I'm all for YOU losing your pension, you hypocritical fascist little bitch, but I can't see you getting all het up about that!

Where the fuck do you get off with this kind of lunatic assertion?

Update: TDM brings some levity to the situation.

Where you've overstepped the bounds and made an abortive leadership challenge. And now needd to make nice, perhaps?

They are seriously mentally ill. Not only did ministers sign off on Fred's pension last year, he must know where the bodies are buried (having killed a fair few himself) and so Fred would have little difficulty in taking the chancellor in ten of the last twelve years down with him.

So that's two Deputy Leaders of the Labour Party (both voted for by the whole of that corrupt organisation, and one of them a QC and Law Officer to the Crown) who have stated on the record that they do not believe in the rule of law.

Just so everyone's clear on that.

That's fine then. We should use the "court of public opinion" to hang these fucking mendacious cunts from the nearest lamp post with a length of piano wire and then stick their fucking heads on a pike outside the Tower of London as an example to other wrongdoers.

Stripping away people's pension rights because it is considered by popular opinion that they do not deserve them? A very dangerous road for this lot to be going down, if I were them I'd let it lie and hope everybody's forgotten about it by June next year.

Harperson is a piece of shit. If she was familiar with public opinion, she would know that most of us consider the government utter scum.

The Court of Public Opinion pronounces judgement through one medium and one medium only. The ballot box. She will realise this in the not-too-distant future.

The bastards stripped my pension without a murmur back in 1997.

If Fred loses his pension it creates a precedent that might start a movement to strip MPs of theirs.

I have written Sir Fred an open letter, asking him: nay, commanding him to defend himself to the utmost.

You can find it at

Prize Cunt Vince Cable on Brown Broadcasting Corporation this afternoon: "Just refuse to pay Goodwin the money and let him sue"

Brilliant - so not only do we have to pay him the money (it's a contract, remember so he'll definitely win) but the legal fees for both sides as well, another few million.

Anybody else still think he's an economics guru?

I was discussing this with friends last night, and while my friends are almost certainly not indicitive of public opinion in general, none of them had a good word to say for the guy or for the way RBS had been run.

Since fucking when does the court of public opinion count for fucking shit?

Oh I don't know. It'd create a precedent -- if the boss of RBS can lose his pension for fucking up the bank, then surely the Prime Minister (and former Chancellor) can too for fucking up the economy.

Though this is obviously just wishful thinking; clearly an incoming Conservative government wouldn't scrap Brown's pension, because if there's one thing labour and the Tories agree on, it's the continuation of their gravy train.

It may well be the case, but has anybody in the government asked your opinion?

Because no fucker has asked me.
