People in glass houses, etc.

Predictably, some very up themselves people are taking the piss with Palin's resignation speech. I stopped reading the edited version almost immediately, after the collective editorship of Vanity Fair failed to replace "my family and me" with "my family and I".

It's bad enough that a professional editor should miss such an egregious error, but for an entire team of them to miss it is unforgivable. Conde Nast should sack the lot of them.

Twats.

Well, Obo, I think you've fucked up.

In the context you quote, 'my family and me' was in the accusative.

Would you say - 'He fucked I over'?

As with all grammer[0] errors, remember - people in glass houses, &c.

Now, write out 'Ego me ipsum stupidum exisitmo' one thousand times.

[0] precisely.

What the dang heck you expect from a redneck former beauty queen anyhow?

Her exit speech was for her fanatic supporters who would follow her off a cliff. Since her announcement I have been asking “Can anyone real tell me that you were impressed by her exit speech?” But all her supporters stay silent on this and attack on the typical “FOX News” talking points. Back in September 2008, we saw her wagging her finger that Hillary Clinton, that Hillary should not whine about tough media coverage, she was not doing women any good, she should just plow through it, she should have known what she was getting into and should just try harder and prove herself. “WOW”, I guess she loves measuring others by standards that she does not follow. What a hypocrite, but expected from most political false prophets types. That’s why you will hear her say that she is not the “pailin palin” or the “quitter that twittered” but is going for a “higher calling”, sounds more like the TV false prophet who loves stealing money from their neighbors, the sick, the shut ins, the poor. Sweet piece, enjoyed it.

Depends on context...

"My family and I are delighted that I've resigned"

"My resignation is important to my family and me"

Both of the above are correct, it is not universal that "somone and me" is wrong and "someone and I" is correct.

The test is simple, you remove the other party and check it's still correct:

"I am delighted I've resigned"

"My resignation is important to me".

Worse - I'm afraid the article you link to has chosen the correct form - oh noooooooooooo!
