The road to hell ... *

... is paved with good intentions. I was determined to get back into the swing of blogging, but the heat, the flies and the incessant beating of drums have left me lying in my tent with only gin and tonic and a punkawallah for company.

* See what I did there?

If you don't want the gin, then be so good as to pass it over here. I can find a good home for it.

It is rather warm. I'm sweating like a fat lass in a disco.

Fact for the day: The gin was originally a mixer for the tonic water, rather than the other way 'round. Tonic was very bitter due to all the Quinine they had in it. And we like Gin.

So there you go.

I hate tonic. Another fact for the day.
