Eddie's Teddy

From the day he was born, he was trouble.
He was the thorn in his country's side.
They tried in vain, but he never caused them nothing but shame.
He lost shame when they tried...

From the day she was gone, all he wanted
Was left-wing porn; to fund the IRA
Shooting up junk
He was a low-down, cheap little punk.
Taking Mary-Jo for a ride...

When Teddy said he didn't save Kopechne you knew he was a no-good kid
But when he threatened her life with a sinking car
When he died
Makes you smile
Und I did.

Everybody shoved him, I very nearly loved him
I said hey listen to me, stay sane inside insanity
But he locked the door and threw away the key...

But he must been drawn into something
Making him warn me in a note which reads (what's it say, what's it say?)
"I'm outta my head, O hurry or I may be dead.
They mustn't carry out their evil deeds..."

When Teddy said he didn't save Kopechne you knew he was a no-good kid
But when he threatened her life with a sinking car
When he died
Makes you smile
Und I did.

Rest in absolute misery, you murdering scum.

I know one shouldn't express approval at the death of a human being, but...

Oh, wait.

Was he human? I don't think you can be, and leave a young girl to drown in a river while you save your own skin.

Amusing to look at the BBC website this morning... A hagiographic obit, "icon" "great statesman" etc. Whereas, on the HYS page, you have to scroll down to about the third page of "recommended" postings before you find one that doesn't call him a cunt, be it for his open support and fundraising for the IRA or his lack of driving skills and/or courage.

It was strange to read all the tributes to him in the DT, because I cannot recall meeting anyone in the past 40 years who had a high opinion of the man.

Ah well. De mortuis nil nisi bonum dicendum est.

Funny, isn't it?

Bazza hates Kenny (as do I) for letting Al-thingy go free.

But he is heartbroken over the death of an IRA fundraiser, who used his influence to get visas for terrorists and whose best advice to the Blair government was to let convicted terrorists go free.

Logic?

These people go into politics because.unlike the real world, having a fucking brain can be really dangerous.

Nice Rocky Horror bowdlerisation OB.

The fires of hell burn a little brighter for him (I hope). Crackle spit.
