An interesting theory

Blaney has come up with something that rings true:

Think about it: the son of the Manse, the man with the moral compass, leads by example by resigning and calling for a wholesale clean-up of Parliament. He gets remembered for doing the decent thing as he and then dozens of other MPs quit and Alan Johnson, squeaky clean, gets to take on David Cameron (who himself, of course, has some questions to answer when it comes to expenses).

It's interesting, and I think it plays out to the same sympathy card that the one-eyed freak is going to try and play anyway. Is it a game-changer? I don't think so. Labour are spent and reeling. Johnson, I think, is too canny to want to lead his party to a massive defeat. And really, Cameron would have to be exposed as Madeleine McCann's kidnapper to get the people out of the mindset that it's the Tories' turn to boss us around.

But it would certainly make it interesting.

No, I think the way it's going to play out is Gorgon or some other makeweight is going to lead the party to its doom. (Alan) Johnson will then become Prime Minister Cameron's bete noire.

Even if Cameron was exposed as Madeleine McCann's kidnapper, he would have claimed everything back on expenses just like the rest of them.

I don't understand the last paragraph. Do you mean Alan or Boris?

He can get his arse in the fucking queue behind the rest of us. I broke off sharpening all my favourite implements just to type this...

I think we saw the first outing of the sympathy card last night, with the discolosure ('in the interests of transparency' - otherwise known as 'one of the Sundays had a piccie of him emerging from Moorfields eye Hospital')that he has two tears in his rectum, sorry, two tears in his eye, retina, I'll get it right in a minute, and we will be invited 'not to kick a courageous man when he is down'

Does Cameron have an alibi for the McCann "disappearance"?

Such a future is far from certain, Obno and I ascend the sewer level of UK politics with metaphorical sweet mugging on the way home from school.

Better to lose out to hungry estate kids than suffer loss and humiliation by snotty public schoolboys.

Brown's legacy "as the man who cleaned up Parliament"? This is the fucker who changed the rules to help his troughing mates, and had a dip in the barrel himself too!
Most will remember him for destroying the economy, selling our gold cheaply, etc. "The worst PM ever" seems a more suitable epitaph.
