Intent

I've been watching the latest iteration of the Israeli / Palestinian conflict with some considerable dread, not least for the inevitable display of lefty mongosity that comes with these things.

"Disproportionate response" is the most frequent charge levelled against the Israeli government, and it probably is disproportionate. On the other hand, how many rockets does Hamas have to launch before the Israeli response is considered proportionate? Would these same lefties be more forgiving if Israel's response was to simply launch an endless stream of low-grade rockets into Gaza? Would that be acceptable?

But the thing that really grips my shit about the lefty wibbling is the question of intent.

Normally, lefties will justify any old fucking shit on the basis that the intent of the measure was good. Yes, we pissed money away on that cause to no avail, but the idea behind it was good, so it's OK.

What do these cretins think the intent of the rocket launches into Israel are? It's to kill people. If the rockets weren't dangerous, people wouldn't pay them any fucking notice.

But now, suddenly, the intent of the rockets - killing innocent Jewish civilians - is irrelevant, because they rarely do. How the fuck does that work then?

Either intent doesn't matter, in which case lefties need to 'fess up to the results of their economic stupidity or intent does matter and lefties need to accept that Israel's response to the rockets is justifiable self-defence.

You can't have your cake and eat it.

Cunts.

Left foot in mouth

I can't decide if Eoin Clarke is a socialist or a fucking idiot, the two terms being entirely interchangeable. But let's have a look at a particular example:

We in Labour Left argue that private companies in general have too big a share in the UK childcare market.

Do they? On what particular basis do you say this?

Fifty nine per cent of childcare providers are private profiteers.

Or, to put it another way, "59% of childcare providers, who parents willingly and voluntarily entrust their most precious bundles of joy with, are private profiteers."

What, exactly, is the problem?

We are going to make the case for co-operatives to play a larger part in the sector. In order to do this we wish to outline the poor value that private providers offer parents.

Right. Because people who have to pay the actual bills don't fucking shop around much, do they? They don't already balance off their individual requirements for cost versus quality versus trustworthiness and a zillion other factors when it comes to their kids? Because let's face it, it's only their fucking kids, what do they know?

In the current economic climate, can the average family afford an extra £910 a year just to send their child for 25 hours a week to a private crèche?

Er, Eoin, clearly they can, or they fucking wouldn't.

If the voluntary sector is able to provide it at a full £1,040 cheaper, then the state has a duty to boost that sector as much as in possible.

I am quoting verbatim from his post so far. I don't know about you, but I've got no fucking idea whatsoever where his numbers have come from. But let's assume they're justified somewhere, I'd like to point out that the voluntary sector, being voluntary, should be able to provide the childcare for free and gratis, it being, you know, voluntary. Unless, of course, Eoin has co-opted a well-known and clearly-understood word to mean something else, something that sounds jolly spiffy, but is actually a nasty, spiteful piece of socialist bollocks. Much like "co-operatives", something I see used with gay abandon, but entirely unexplained.

I'd also like to point out that the state has no fucking money of its own, sponging as it does off the long-suffering and increasingly-impoverished taxpayer. Many of whom either don't have kids or have made other plans for their own kids and can't really understand why they have to subsidise some other cunt's kids.

Given the fact that about 30% of crèche places are unfilled, the practice of charging parents deposits and registration fees to book their children into a care provider is deeply unethical.

Is it? On what grounds do you level this charge? People will either pay it and use the service, or they won't and fuck off elsewhere. I really don't see the word "ethics" entering into this at all.

And it is a fact that profit-making childcare providers are much more likely to engage in the practice. As well as expanding the voluntary sector, the government should also seek to ban registration fees for crèches.

Why? What fucking business is it of the government what pricing and payment arrangements are voluntarily entered into by private businesses and / or individuals?

Personally, I'd like to see the government ban registration fees for cars, but of course, dickheads like Eoin will never argue for that, because the money is going to their preferred thief, the government.

But these are not the only problems that parents face. The growing cost of childcare is also an issue. All of this data is based upon 2010 data but prices are climbing.

Yeah, well maybe it's got something to do with insane levels of regulation, mandatory staffing requirements and, of course, the taxes levied by the greedy state.

No, no, Eoin, you're quite right, it's all down to those greedy profiteers.

More that two thirds of providers have increased their prices in the last year, this comes at a time when the government are cutting by 10% the amount of childcare fees they will cover for low income families. That said, the families that receive state support with childcare only account for about 20% of the total number of children receiving these services. Eighty per cent of families have to struggle with these costs by themselves.

Life is cruel sometimes. But perhaps you'd be better off making a case for it to be easier for people to open up a small childcare business without the insane levels of box-ticking required by the government, and the eye-watering taxation levied on them.

Just imagine, thousands of potentially unemployed people not only earning money, but also reducing the costs for people already in work.

Or does that not fit in with your socialist, centrally-controlled, authoritarian mindset?

No, I did think so.

Oh, for FUCK'S sake, Ed!

The man is clearly a fucking idiot:

Private equity firms and businesses deemed to be “asset strippers” will face higher taxes under a Labour government, Ed Miliband will warn tomorrow.

And how will you know that, Ed? Will it be if someone rats them out? Will you have inspectors who go round analysing businesses to identify

companies with the “wrong values” who do not create jobs, invest in companies or train their staff

So the options are:

  • Employers will be at the whim of employees who may take every rejection of jazzed-up training as an excuse to try and get their employer the higher tax level;
  • Labour will employ thousands of inspectors to make sure that every business meets a checklist of bollocks criteria that will do nothing to prevent "bad" behaviour, but cost the taxpayer billions;

or

  • Ed is blowing smoke up the party faithful's collective ringmeat.

And, of course, there is the tiny but hardly irrelevant matter that asset stripping is, in fact, wealth creation. You fucking idiot.

Oh, I can't wait until these cunts get back into power. Happy days.

In which Steve Richards shows what a fucking idiot he is all over again

I've noticed quite often that lefties can be quite astute at describing concisely, what things actually are like. But when it comes to identifying the root cause and especially when it comes to fixing it, they get it completely fucking wrong. So it is with Steve "Dick" Richards in the Indy today:

Power in Britain is distributed widely and erratically. Yet on the whole we report and scrutinise decisions, events and public personalities on the assumption that most power is concentrated in the hands of politicians in general and ministers in particular. Around the clock, politicians are held to account, even though most of them wield virtually no power at all. If anything happens anywhere, the instinct of the media and the gladiatorial parliamentary culture is to hold the Government to account almost alone. Weak-kneed elected politicians feel compelled to respond.

And thank fuck for that, even if the mendacious bastards just lie through their teeth all the time.

This form of robust accountability is largely healthy. To reverse the proposition and argue that elected figures should not be held to account would be deranged. But the consequence of an excessive focus on mainly insecure, scared politicians has led to a distorting lack of accountability in relation to non-elected institutions that wield power with anonymous, and often unjustified, self-confidence. Few voters had heard of the senior bankers who were leading them to the edge of the precipice until it was almost too late. And yet the likes of Sir Fred Goodwin, who steered Royal Bank of Scotland towards catastrophe, had far more power than most elected ministers who were regularly attacked on the front pages and summoned to explain their timid, powerless behaviour at 8.10 am on the Today programme.

It is healthy. And Richards skirts around the very edge of the real problem here. But being a lefty, he can't face the truth of the matter, because it would totally uproot his weltsanschauung.

Similarly, only now is more intense scrutiny being applied to the activities of the Metropolitan Police and the quality of some of its senior staff. The accountability of the police is highly sensitive and complex, but some senior figures in the Metropolitan Police have sheltered under convoluted lines of scrutiny. Both the Mayor of London and the Home Office have theoretical powers, while police retain operational independence. In fairness, the head of the Metropolitan Police is a public figure and extensively scrutinised, but it was alarming to watch the Home Affairs Committee interview a former assistant commissioner, Andy Hayman, and a current holder of that rank, John Yates. How did such cocky mediocrities rise to senior posts, ones that gave them responsibilities for handling the threat of terrorism? No elected minister would get so far up the Cabinet in the way that unimpressive duo rose up the hierarchy of the police. The media and parliamentary scrutiny would have exposed their different flaws long ago. Yates wields more power than most ministers, and Hayman used to.

So close. So very close. Will he grasp the nettle? Of course not!

Some media organisations, but most specifically Rupert Murdoch's, have become the most extreme example of this trend towards unaccountable power. Murdoch rarely gives interviews.

Disaster neatly averted. Attention diverted to the bogeyman du jour.

So, let's talk briefly about senior figures in private companies being held to account. In essence, that is what shareholders do. Sometimes it's difficult depending on the structure of the shares and who holds the shares, but in general, any company with a public shareholding is compelled by law to allow shareholders with even a single share to propose motions and argue against actions taken by the company, to vote against the appointment or reappointment of directors, etc. In general, if the company is making money, shareholders will be happy. But there will always be people with particular bees in their bonnets and companies are legally obliged to hear them out, no matter how blatantly vexatious they may be. I own some shares and every year when the AGM comes along, I get to vote, democratically, on things that shareholders and directors propose. I always take this seriously and I always vote, because it's my money that's at stake.

People being interviewed by the press is a load of bollocks for accountability. The only reason an exec would ever voluntarily agree to an interview is the chance to raise his profile and that of the company he works for. It's true that occasionally some senior exec will be shredded by the press, but it's usually a sacrificial goat situation, not that the company is being held to account as such.

Murdoch doesn't do interviews because he doesn't fucking need to. He owns newspapers, he doesn't need to raise the media profile of his company and he's rich enough not to need to raise his own profile. So let's just park the stupid idea that the press (or anyone else) needs to, or even can, hold executives to account.

The real issue that Richards skirts around here is the real unelected, unaccountable power in the country. He touches on it with the police, but inevitably he pokes at a couple of people, rather than the systemic failure.

It's true that the police wield lots of direct, unaccountable power. Don't ever piss a cop off, because they can make your life a fucking misery without you ever being able to prove it or stop it.

But the real problem, the thing that Richards cannot face or admit to is that the entire civil service is stuffed with faceless, unaccountable people who have power at various levels and degrees.

Stalin was partly right when he said that it doesn't matter who can vote, power rests with those who count the votes. But in Britain's completely fucked political system, the power does not rest with the elected policy makers or even the vote counters, but rather with those who get to implement (or not) those policies.

Ministers propose legislation at the broad brush level. The nuts and bolts of implementation can align with the intent of a policy or completely undermine it. The people who decide how and when a policy get implemented are completely unaccountable, completely hidden from scrutiny.

Another fine example of how unaccountable people in state employ are can be found in the latest issue of Private Eye (issue 1292), where the saintly NHS is exposed in how it hides avoidable deaths and punishes those who try to expose its failings.

It is true that journalists do terrible things in pursuit of stories. But it's equally true that they do these things in response to a demand from the general public, who are desperate to read disgusting tittle-tattle. So I do not really subscribe to the current froth of high-minded criticism of journalists. They wouldn't do those things if they didn't sell papers as a result of them. And crucially, newspapers do not fuck up thousands of lives every year or kill 25,000 people a year needlessly.

Belatedly, a strange sort of enforced accountability is taking place as parliament reasserts its right to stand up to non-elected institutions that function in the dark. Some commentators suggest that this is a sinister development, possibly leading to excessive political interference. Such fears are unfounded. How can it be sinister when those we elect challenge lawbreaking by a non-elected organisation?

Two words: parliamentary expenses. What do you say now, Steve? Or do you think the MP's got an unfairly rough ride there?

We need to know a lot more about the activities of bankers*, powerful business leaders, senior civil servants, police and, of course, what is happening behind the closed doors of media empires. This is a story about who runs Britain, and as light is shone we discover horrors. The light must not fade again.

All our public institutions deserve much tougher scrutiny than they get and at all levels, not just the police or "senior civil servants". And I wonder if the "media empires" will include the saintly Independent.

But of course, this will all blow over, much as the expenses scandal did. We can always count on occasional tweets and press releases from MP's moaning about IPSA to reassure us that they are learning their lessons and that they're never going to do this kind of thing again. Until the next time.

(And if you're that fucked off about what News of the Screws did, why are you railing at them for supplying something that millions of people paid to read week in and week out? Why aren't you attacking the people that wanted those dire little titbits?)

*Banker bashing. Yawn.

Labour, as ever the party that champions civil liberties (for @lukeakehurst )

Recent comment on twitter, by Labour NEC member, Luke Akehurst:

Dog Control Orders being discussed now - serious issue in Hackney's parks and open spaces

My rather inevitable response to this further encroachment of the state into things that are really not any of its fucking business was:

Oh for *fuck's* sake. What a load of utter cunt!

Luke then asked:

any particular reason for that reaction? "Status dogs" owned by gang members r serious menace in local parks

Dude! Seriously?

do you *really* think a gang is going to pay any fucking attention?

Luke's devastating response:

they will get fined if they ignore it

Right, so a gang member that is quite happy to own an illegal dog and possibly train it to be an attack dog is going to be so fucking terrified of a doggy ASBO and a fine that he's going to turn into a productive member of society instead?

Really?

Are you fucking serious?

These are the same people who collect ASBO's as a badge of honour. They are absolutely unafraid of the ASBO system. Do you not think that perhaps they may regard a doggy ASBO as a badge of honour for their dogs?

Do you really, REALLY think they're going to give a flying fuck about your stupid fucking nanny state horseshit?

Christ. Is there no end to human stupidity?

That's not abuse!

The deputy leader of the London Assembly Conservatives has insulted Liberal Democrat deputy leader Simon Hughes on Twitter.

James Cleverly wrote: "We may be coalition partners but it doesn't stop me thinking Simon Hughes is a dick."

In fuller comments, made on his blog, Mr Cleverly called Mr Hughes a "fool" and said the idea was "bone-headed".

He added: "Simon Hughes clearly feels that he is the 'real' voice of the Lib Dems.

"He isn't."

This is abuse:

Simon Hughes is an arrogant, overly-entitled cunt with shit for brains and filled to the brim with fucking impractical, statist bullshit ideas. He deserves to meet his end impaled and screaming, followed by the mounting of his fat ugly head on a pike outside the Houses of Parliament as a warning to the other troughing cunts to get their own fucking house in order before trying to tell the rest of us how to live our fucking lives.

The cunt.

Making a mental note

really? I can see how inflation has shot up Mugabe style, as Dale was predicting, after last QE burst

I genuinely hope I am wrong and he is right. I reckon we have a year. I don't see Mugabe-style inflation, but I reckon it's definitely going to be visible and really fucking hurt.

Right Wing Extremist Spies on Climate Campers with British Army Equipment

Nick Martian | 21.08.2010 17:24 | Climate Chaos | Ecology | Workers' Movements | Liverpool | World

There appears to have been a deadly serious game of cat and mouse going on between environmental activists, a local Scottish journalist, and the right wing extremist who has been threatening violence against the Camp for Climate Action in Edinburgh.

Boasting that he is a professional soldier recently returned from fighting in Afghanistan where he says he killed Muslims for reading Islamic literature, and now posting his threats on Twitter under the name “wearethebritish” the extremist claims to have been using British Army military surveillance equipment to spy on the climate campers.

He is believed to be a member of the English Defence League, a right wing organisation that targets Muslim groups and he has been posting messages of hatred against the climate camp to other members of the EDL.

Local journalist Jono Warren who posts on Twitter as “nmec” was alerted by LutherBlissetts, one of the climate camp activists, to the fact that the Camp for Climate Action was being threatened:

LutherBlissetts @nmec - wearethebritish says he has gun metal Aston, lives one hour away from climate camp and intends to pay 'scruffy squatters' a visit
@nmec has EDL @wearethebritish turned up to Climate Camp yet?
Nmec @LutherBlissetts Not that I'm aware of.

The wearethebritish spy however was apparently not far away from the climate camp also posting his Twitter messages:
wearethebritish Sitting in car somewhere in Edinburgh - laptop on 3G - have extremists from climate camp under close observation - dull people haven't noticed
Drove to edinburgh to put climate camp under close observation total anti climax – utter non-entities – complete #fail
@ShugNiggurath have been watching them up close - rag tag bunch of hysterical useful fools – climate camp carbon footprint very high

wearethebritish @PoliticalFun check out @LutherBlissetts - he's 'alerted' some kid with a camera to my proximity and dull boy hasn't even seen me
PoliticalFun @wearethebritish I've just found the tweet, hilarious!
You take the guy out of the military but you just can't get the military out of the guy! What surveillance equipment you got?
Are you hunting?
wearethebritish @PoliticalFun "What surveillance equipment you got?" - because they are so pre-occupied with their obsession all I need is a Mk 1 Eyeball

PoliticalFun @wearethebritish are you sitting there taunting them?
wearethebritish @PoliticalFun "are you sitting there taunting them?" - lol, no, they aren't worthy of action - mostly spoilt middle class kids - nobodies
AlJahom @wearethebritish a muck-spreader fully of slurry would be perfect for them. @PoliticalFun
wearethebritish @PoliticalFun @AlJahom climate camp comes with its own self-contained dung heap - a walking squawking steaming midden of irrelevance
wearethebritish @PoliticalFun guys a twat isn't he - these guys think they are so dangerous, so radical, so 'underground' .... the world is lol'ing at them

wearethebritish @ShugNiggurath oh yes - plenty of methane coming out of both ends - truth is that climate camp is a toothless figure of fun and ridicule
wearethebritish come on tweeps - let's all gather round to point and lol at the spoilt little rich kids of climate camp
Tamsin53 @wearethebritish agree some of the anarchy people come from middle class well off families - just thinking of the Redgrave family
wearethebritish @Tamsin53 climate camps kiddies are a laughing stock - multi-billion RBS won't take any notice of them, even Police are openly lol'ing at them

wearethebritish so far climate camp is an absolute failure but then a few spoilt middle class kids were never going to make a dent in a multi-billion corp
The people of Edinburgh couldn't care less about climate camp 'activists' they know RBS is good for their city & soon climate camp will leave
Overweight students should diet not riot - not that soft-skinned spoilt little tubby munchkins are any good at rioting either climate camp
Templar1128 @wearethebritish yes the farmer should use the tractors to push the layabouts off his land.. bet they're claiming benefits though..

LutherBlissetts @wearethebritish climate is changing. precession & glaciation cycle beyond our control yet effects of anthropic change not beyond our control
wearethebritish @LutherBlissetts afternoon sherlock - too bad we didn't meet - maybe next time sonny
@Political_Fun my twittercrush hates me...... isn't it fun
CynaraeStMary @wearethebritish Who could hate you?

Political_Fun @AlJahom Eh? Who's beans I want to know who @wearethebritish has a lefty crush on??
wearethebritish @Political_Fun it's the climate camp chic ....
wearethebritish @AmeliaGregory why? well a) I like her name, I once dated an Amelia from Kenya (Happy Valley type) b) She has guts & drive c) She hates me
wearethebritish all the chics now checking out my twittercrush
wearethebritish @AmeliaGregory we're talking about you ....
@AmeliaGregory I'm just round the corner from Jenners if you want to meet me for afternoon tea & buns!

The right wing extremist who calls himself “wearethebritish” and who has been posting threats of violence against the Camp for Climate Action seems to have spent the afternoon spying on the climate camp, avoiding being seen by the journalist he knew was looking for him, and posting his unpleasant messages on Twitter.

Maybe he is just the cowardly clown that he appears to be but threatening to burn down the climate camp and using British Army surveillance equipment to spy on the climate campers is probably illegal, and the fact is that a lot of people are now taking this man and the rest of the members of his group very seriously, just in case they might be as dangerous and murderous as they claim to be.

there could be a massacre at climate camp

21.08.2010 21:56

A Mk1 Eyeball is actually the code name for a top secret british army electronic surveillance device capable of spying on the enemy from long range providing sharp clear images which can guide weapons to their target.
It is highly illegal for this equipment to be taken and used except in war zones because it can be connected to the latest weaponry which can wipe out large numbers of people in a split second.

No it doesn't

Mongnitive Dissonance: the Weapons Grade Cock End Edition

Dammit, if you use the real definition it is very clear I am a libertarian. I consider myself to be so - I genuinely want to provide the individual with the opportunity to make choice.

Dude, what the fuck?

Can this really be the same person who, in his comments policy, says:

For a comment to be published I must be satisfied that:

6. It is not questioning the fundamental tenets on which this blog is based.

This last point is important. Those who wish to argue that tax havens / secrecy jurisdictions are good things may do so, but not here. Likewise those promoting neoliberal economics may do so, but not here: propagating the delusion that an economy can be accurately modeled using counterfactual propositions about its nature is not something I wish to partake in, and will not allow.

Seriously? In other words, you're a libertarian that won't hear a word from the Austrian school or anything other than your own?

Fucking hell.

But just as the far right in Germany claimed the word socialist as their own - wholly inappropriately - so have the right claimed libertarian as their own - wholly inappropriately because the programme they promote is clearly intended to deny choice to mist by providing privilege to a few

In the process they claim to have no desire for social engineering - when that is their very obvious aim

And most who seem to be libertarian also seem incredibly keen on restricting immigration - whilst promoting the free flow of capital

Wrong, you fucking bell end. Free movement of people and free movement of capital are a fundamental policy for any libertarian. You, on the other hand, are quite happy to restrict the free movement of capital while calling for the free movement of people.

This does not make you a libertarian. Along with your comments policy, this makes you a fascist cunt.

Why do you assume I disagree with much of your libertarian politics?

What could possibly link these things together?

Mongnitive Dissonance

@obotheclown i think you severely doubt your own position, this is why you act the big johnny big bollocks on your site. I pity you.
-- The Master of Cognitive Dissonance

Ahem. I think it's fair to say that I don't doubt my position in the slightest. I'm not the one arguing for the state to have a monopoly on violence to act upon me to fund the things I believe in, while simultaneously telling them to fuck off when they try to extend that power to things I don't believe in. My position is much clearer, simpler and more coherent: I don't believe the state should do anything or even exist. I believe that if the false crutch of the state was removed, people would also benefit from a personal development of greater responsibility and ownership of their own problems. I also believe that as a consequence of the removal of state, people would find much a) better and b) cheaper ways of looking after those who had genuine need.

However, I absolutely and fully accept that as things stand today, the state has too much mindshare for this to happen. Most people don't even want to think about politics, let alone challenge the status quo. And even among the people who can even be arsed to think about politics, like bloggers, most people don't want to think the difficult, fundamental issues through, which is why we have bloggers like Tom Harris and Iain Dale and Guido becoming popular: they say things that appeal to people's tribal loyalties or prejudices, not things that make people think.

Even (or especially!) among people who profess themselves to be libertarians or "social liberals", there is an uncrossable chasm between those who have gone back to basics and started again and those who think things could be made better working in the current political framework. And those very people who want "liberty" in the current political framework are the most vociferous opponents of any form of anarchy.

Every time I talk to Sunny Hundal or John Demetriou, I get dismissed for the ludicrosity* of my ideas. With both of them, there are personal slurs and straw man attacks a-plenty. I think these are the people who are actually the least sure of their ground: they have a specific set of freedoms that they deem to be mandatory and self-evident, and when confronted with the idea that someone else might have a different set of freedoms or a superset of freedoms that goes beyond their own, they are too frightened to contemplate what that means to their value system to engage rationally with the idea.

So Sunny goes on about my "tin-foil hat", despite the fact that I've written here about the tolerance of Libertarianism attracting froot loops and gun nuts and how I don't like it, he immediately tars me with the "froot loop and gun nut" brush. He takes my complaints about the welfare system as "spin" to "hide my racist desire for less immigration", etc.

John bangs on about my "mad, loony AnCap arse". And that's when he's not trying, laughably, to troll me in general.

Neither of them has any kind of rational explanation for why their particular set of freedoms is more important or sensible than a) each other or b) mine.

As to the Johnny Big Bollocks thing: am I the one who writes things like: "And just in case you were in any doubt, Mr Boatang and I are indeed Demi-Gods of the Libertarian blogging world, and yes, everything that we utter is sacred - each word a literary gem worth ensnaring and putting on the world jewel market for mega bucks" (to pluck one random sample out of the air)? Or am I the one who gives his fiercest critics permanent pride of place on the front page of my blog?

Am I the one who proclaims my worth in a verbose paean of self-praise (complete with a suitably humble picture) or am I the one who thinks no-one gives a shit about my personal history?

And am I the one who has a mate on call who can be guaranteed to back my every word with a "yeah, right on, man, stick it to him" or am I the one who has to convince everyone who backs me with the compulsion of my argument?

In other words, John, in the case of this particular tweet (and many others) you might be indulging in the tiniest bit of projection.

*I may have made this up.

@tomharrismp - talking out of his arse

Again:

But blogs are, on the whole, amateur affairs, offering plenty of subjective opinion and the occasional interesting fact, spun in a particular direction. The USP of any newspaper worth the name is journalism.

That’s why I read the Daily Mirror: straight-up factual journalism with not a hint of party bias.

Plus, of course, 95% of a newspaper’s content isn’t just regurgitated Associated Press or Reuters stuff.

Yes, Tom, you’re bang on the money here.

As ever.

Astonishing!

This refers. Because I haven't deleted the posts in question, I was attacked on twatter with this garbled mess:

@obotheclown do you really think that argument works? do you think ppl have the right to stel identities, commit fraud, deceive, break law?

Apparently, a troll taking the piss out of a pompous blowhard is now "identity theft", "fraud", "deception" and "breaking the law". It gets better, though:

@obotheclown someone posting under my name has stolen my identity and is deceiving others by pretending to be me. It's not fair or right.

I can see several issues with this particular observation, such a...

@obotheclown and it can lead to deception and possible libel. You know the implications. There's no free speech argument here ffs!!

Well, as I was ...

@obotheclown you're a fucking wind up merchant, mate. You know I'm right, you're just laughing at me here. What the fuck is wrong with you?

Yes, I suppose I'm laughing at you, because you storm around like your balls are bigger than your brain, slapping your dick down on every fucker's table and telling them how you're the daddy and yet, the first fucking troll who wanders past has you pissing in your pants like a little girl.

I suppose the next thing you're going to tell me is that you're talking to a lawyer about this shameful lack of response to your reasonable request. Or that you are a lawyer.

Woo.

In the meantime, absolutely nothing I do or don't do will stop this troll from knowing that the bloke on the Boatang & Demetriou blog is a weapons-grade wimp who can be trolled to death. And for all you know, his name might actually be John Demetriou, or he might change it by deed poll to John Demetriou. On what grounds would I then be justified in removing his posts?

I don't know what your real name is. I don't know who the troll is. For all I know, you could actually be the troll, playing some sort of double-bluff.

So fret and moan and squeal. The troll is taking note of how you're reacting, and if you're not the troll, he knows he's onto a lifetime of pleasure at your blog or anywhere you may choose to comment. Or even places where you don't comment.

Which could be really amusing.

And if it spreads, what will you do? Call for every blogger in the universe to delete comments from the troll?

That'll work.

Oh!

*sigh* quiet from obo, i guess he's bust writing a spiteful, revenge article on me. The fucking pointless cunt.

Yeah, because I won't do your every whim, I'm spiteful and vengeful. That's me.

What a fucking loser.

A coalition for cunts

Yvette Cooper-Bollocks? Here's a newsflash, you miserable little bollock-muncher: There is a well-known coalition for cunts, and it's the awful LibLabCon cuntsoup that you are a part of.

Saturday, 3 April 2010

Just. Fuck. Off.

OK?

A BRIT chemist who helped flood the UK with meow meow has warned of an even DEADLIER legal high about to hit us.

Worried Dave Llewellyn told The Sun that the new drug NRG-1 will be "Britain's worst nightmare" leading to mass brain damage and death.

And:

The chemical make-up of both mephedrone and naphyrone are only slightly different - and BOTH are terrifyingly similar to ecstasy.

Look, I'm the least drug-addled person out there. I've never, ever even taken a puff of weed, let alone disco biscuits or any such crap. But this just reeks of made-up bollocks to me. Half the fucking stuff in the world will have some sort of upper or downer effect on you and kill you if you OD on it. Fuck, you can even OD on water (it's called "drowning", look it up) ... so why the fuck are people getting so piss-arsed about something that costs 25p a hit? It's unlikely to lead to a major crime surge at that price.

And people are always going to try and get squiffy. Why the fuck are you trying to stop them? You may as well try and stop the tide from coming in, like that other King Cunt.

Fucking morons.

Irony meltdown

An excellent attack site from the Limp Dumbs! Ironic, huh?

But not half as ironic as them claiming that there's no difference between Labour and the Tories, with the Limp Dumbs offering the real alternative.

Cunts.

Tip of the clown wig to Guido.

Vince Cable

People seem to think he's some sort of whizz-kid. He's a trained economist who has thrown his years of training out the window to endorse LimpDumb tax and spend policy. So he's not just a hypocritical cunt, he's a hypocritical fucking cunt.

This just underlines that he's no fucking different to the rest of them.
