I couldn't face it after comment four

Anthony Evans has a corking article here on the need to de-regulate the banks, in which he makes a couple of thought-provoking points:

1. Legalise insider trading. The regulators have failed spectacularly. They did not foresee the systemic risk created by excess credit creation and over-leveraging, and it would be naive to expect any single organisation to steward an entire industry. Demonising hedge funds and banning short-selling miss the point since these are the ultimate protest vote for market participants. The meltdown of a year ago would not have happened had protesters been truly able to act on their knowledge; legalising insider trading would allow asset prices to integrate as much information as possible.

2. Repeal legal tender laws. When sovereigns control currency, they debase gold coins to augment their own coffers. When politicians control currency, they print money to monetise their debts. Even by giving control to independent central banks, we haven't found a way to protect the value of money, since there is still a monopoly provider with an incentive to inflate. The best form of consumer protection is competition, and commercial institutions should be allowed to offer currency to allow markets to determine the most effective medium of exchange.

3. Eradicate crony capitalism. The official narrative is that when Lehman Brothers failed, it sparked a crisis of such proportions that state action was the only way to prevent another Great Depression. But as we start to learn more about what went on behind closed doors, things become murkier. The haphazard manner in which some banks went bankrupt and others were bailed out probably has more to do with personal networks than economic necessity. But even if you have faith in the government to exercise its powers in the public interest, it simply doesn't have the knowledge to act. It's understandable that Hank Paulson put more emphasis on Wall Street than on conservative banks that spend less on lobbying, because that's the world he lives in. For the rest of us, these deals create regime uncertainty and weaken the power of markets.

Needless to say, this is eye-popping stuff for the average Graun-reader. In fact, my eyebrows raised at the idea of legalising insider trading, but I can actually see where he's coming from. However, the commentards over there are so fucking dumb than I couldn't get past the fourth comment:

The total de-regualtion of the market os what has allowed this pproblem to happen

Ignoring the functional illiteracy of this cocktard for a second, just relish the idea that he thinks the market is totally de-regulated. The financial institutions that were at the very heart of all this were and are so heavily regulated, they employ entire buildings full of people to make sure they are compliant with UK regulations, EU regulations, US regulations, industry standards, security standards, "plain English" standards, diversity standards, BASEL regulations, PCI requirements, ... the list goes on for ever.

It is this kind of dream-world, literally fantastical approach to life that makes me sometimes wish, just for a moment, that I could actually remove these people from the gene pool forever. These fucking twats represent the uncritical, woolly, bovine thought processes of the average government policy influencing, LibLabCon voting, soft-centrist cuntstain that has encouraged all this fucking irresponsibility from corporates sucking up to the government and allowed the government to continue with its "something has to be done" agenda.

These fucking morons are as much to blame for the current financial crisis as the fucking board of Lehman Brothers.

Get out of your fucking copy of the Guardian and go have a chat with a bank manager if you don't believe me, you useless oxygen thieving goat anus.

The not at all hidden costs of multi-culturalism

How many "schoolsanhospitals" is £50-million then?

Town halls and Whitehall spend £50 million a year on translation and interpretation for the benefit of people who cannot speak English.

OK ...

Yet now an investigation has found that many of the expensively-produced foreign-language leaflets have never been read.

Can I make a fucking suggestion? How about we save the £50 million and say that if you want to come live here, you have to make the effort to FUCKING LEARN ENGLISH, YOU CUNTS?

I'm planning on fucking off to Germany and / or France for a couple of years. Rest assured that before I set foot in either country with the intention of living there, I will at least make sure that I can get by in German (which I already can) and / or French.

Fuck all this stupid bending over backward for people who either can't be arsed or don't give a shit. And for the record: fuck all the ex-pat Brits who go overseas and can't be arsed to learn the lingo. They are cunts, too.

Dick Murphy: lunatic

Fucking hell:

Three cheers for Peter Wilby’s timely call for a radical reform of the tax system, and not least for an end to the myth, so convenient to high earners, that progressive taxation is a disincentive to effort and innovation. And while we’re about it, why not ditch the negative concept of taxation as a "burden" and talk about "the privilege of taxation" instead? I’m quite sure that those of us at or below the average income of around £23,000 a year would be delighted to be taxed at 50% if our taxable incomes were more than £50,000 a year, never mind the government’s rather pathetic 45% for incomes over £150,000. It’s time our highly paid politicians got real.

What fucking planet do these cunts live on?

Give him your support!

Via Timmy, this:

I just got off the phone with some of the people who are occupying Nottingham University over the crisis in Gaza. There has been an effort to turf them out, with the power turned off (they got it back on after a while), and a couple of suits representing the Vice Chancellor visiting the occupation to threaten the students with disciplinary action. It is not entirely clear at the moment what the university can do, but given that other occupations have registered some success so far, one would hope for the students to prevail. 'Pete' explained to me what the students would like people to do:

"We have a petition that we are producing which we would like people to sign, so they should check the website for this. We would appreciate messages of support, especially if people could send them to us [occupationnottingham@gmail.com] and the Vice Chancellor [david.greenaway@nottingham.ac.uk] at the same time

So, I figured it might be amusing to send a message of support to the Vice Chancellor of the Uni instead, copying in the cunts doing the occupying. Here is my humble effort:

Sir,

I believe a bunch of posturing idiots have occupied university property in some kind of deranged attempt to attract attention to the Gaza crisis, because, of course, it hasn't dominated the news sufficiently.

Well, I'd like to say that as a taxpayer, I hope you will sling these pompous, overweening fuckwits out on the street as soon as possible. Failing which, if you would care to place them in stocks on the front steps so that we can all come round and throw rotten fruit, eggs and jagged boulders at them for wasting our money, not only on the subsidies we give them, but on the subsidies we give to people who want to study but now cannot.

Since I'm sure that in this limp-wristed age of pandering to the idiotic there will be no such option available to you, I can only offer my fervent hope that all these cunts simultaneously contract face cancer and die lingering deaths.

Yours, etc.

I urge you to offer your support to him too! :o)

Oh my Ghosh, what a load of utter tosh...

... this is:

the international financial system has failed to meet two obvious requirements: of preventing instability and crises, and of transferring resources from richer to poorer economies

What the fuck are you smoking, woman? What the fuck job is it of the financial system to prevent crises, and more especially, where the fuckety fuck did you get this insane idea about the banks having to do wealth redistribution? Jesus Hiernonymus Christ on a three-wheeled cycling device, I haven't such utter inanity since the last time I managed to fight my way through something from Polly's oeuvre.

even the periods of economic expansion have been based on the global poor subsidising the rich

Oh, come on. I'm sure you can find individual cases where this happens, mostly because some rent-seeking fucktard gets into bed with the government of the day and uses the tax income of the government for itself. But the reality of it is that sweatshops and the like are mutually beneficial to the actual residents of poor countries and the businesses that run them, even though they are abhorrent to the cliterati in the UK.

But given that what is worst for the residents of these poorer countries is that some rich corporate gets into bed with the government of said poorer country, what then is Oh My Ghosh's solution to this?

since private players will inevitably attempt to circumvent regulation, the core of the financial system – banking – must be protected, and this is only possible through social ownership.

Why? Because:

it enables public control over the direction of credit, without which no country has industrialised

That's right folks, in order to save the poor from rent-seeking corporate / government sodomy of the taxpayer, she wants to make it easier for the government to support the rent-seeking corporate!

But the most egregious stupidity in the article is this:

the belief that self-regulation supported with external risk assessment by rating agencies is an adequate way to run a financial system has been blown sky-high. There is no alternative, therefore, to systematic state regulation of finance

Banks and the finance sector in general are among the most heavily regulated industries their are. They are subject to all local (council) business regulations, national general business regulations, mountains of financial sector specific regulation, as well as masses of international regulation. The idea that banks "self-regulate" shows an astonishing lack of basic business awareness. And there is even more stupidity:

In the past six years, there has been a net flow of financial resources from every developing region to the north, primarily the US, even as global income disparities have increased.

Have the average wages in those poorer countries declined, then? Or are they just getting richer more slowly than the Americans? Every graph I've looked at, every bit of research I've read about globalization shows that poor countries benefit overall from the current system. There is a short period of sweatshops (shorter than Britain had to endure, for instance) and then there is a burgeoning middle class and people get to live lifestyles that even a jumped-up Guardianista could survive (albeit with a lot more whingeing.)

Sorry, Jayati, I rate your article as Epic Fail.

Now be a love and go an put the kettle on. If you can manage it.

Update: before everyone starts banging on about it, I know she's a professor of economics. But so is this cunt, and he's fucking useless, too.

Hat tip to the ASI for this one.

Ragging on Robin

Robin Lustig has been moaning that economists have not been predicting all the badness correctly:

Have you noticed how all the world's most learned economists so accurately predicted the current financial melt-down? How they warned that Iceland was about to teeter on the edge of insolvency? That after the US Congress passed the bank bail-out plan last Friday, share prices in New York and London would plunge on Monday?

Actually, plenty of economists (and non-economists, for that matter) have been predicting these sorts of things, precisely because they did some rational thought of their own instead of taking the perspective of the BBC fuckwits like Robert Peston.

Hell, I predicted the current financial melt-down, making said prediction in about 2001/2002. The only thing I was wrong about was that it took a couple of years longer than I expected, but those years certainly made it even worse.

As far as Iceland is concerned, EVEN THE FUCKING BBC SAW SOMETHING WAS WRONG! Here's another one. Nobody cared, was all.

None of the blogs I read were in favour of the Paulson bailout (except, ironically, BOM.) I didn't think the Paulson bailout was going to fix anything, because it was fixing the wrong problem. I thought that MSM-believing sheeple would swallow it up and that confidence would be restored until it was realised that nothing had been fixed. I'm delighted to see that people didn't believe it, so the gap between the "recovery" and the "re-crash" was a lot shorter (i.e., no time at all.)

The BBC is currently doing itself no favours at all. Stop confusing what happens in your little bubble world with what real people are thinking.

Perhaps you should read Timmy and Adam.

Whatever happened to "spread the other cheek"?

This sounds like a bit of a bummer:

The chaplain to the London Stock Exchange may be forced to walk the plank after demanding that gay chaps be tattooed with cig-packet-style health warnings highlighting the evils of boy-on-boy.

The Rev Peter Mullen, 66, declared on his blog: "It is time that religious believers began to recommend ... discouragements of homosexual practices after the style of warnings on cigarette packets. Let us make it obligatory for homosexuals to have their backsides tattooed with the slogan SODOMY CAN SERIOUSLY DAMAGE YOUR HEALTH and their chins with FELLATIO KILLS."

I've been fellated many times, albeit never by a bloke. Shall I get the missus tattooed on the chin? And I'm too much of a gentleman to make any remarks about taking young ladies up the Oxo Tower, although I have done so. And on purpose, on occasion! Am I doomed to eternal damnation and hellfire?

Something just went pop in my head

For the fucking cunting fucking sake of fucking cunting fuck:

A row has broken out at the University of Manchester after its students' union toilets were "de-gendered".

Temporary signs have made the "ladies" simply "toilets", while the "gents" have become "toilets with urinals".

The changes are in response to an unspecified number of complaints from trans students who are uncomfortable using the men's toilets.

A university newspaper criticised the move but the student union said it was needed to tackle transphobia.

There are no figures on the number of transsexual and transgender students believed to be among the university's population of more than 35,000 students.

The students' union welfare office declined to reveal the number of complaints, but said it was an important issue.

Welfare officer Jennie Killip told the BBC: "If you were born female, still present quite feminine, but define as a man you should be able to go into the men's toilets - if that's how you define.

"You don't necessarily have had to have gender reassignment surgery, but you could just define yourself as a man, feel very masculine in yourself, feel that in fact being a woman is not who you are."

Christ Almighty, what the fuck planet is this cunt on? How fucking many hermaphrodites* are there on this campus anyway? Why the fuck does everybody have to kowtow to the wibble of a handful of infinitely confused cockmongers anyway?

My best guess? Jennie Killip has photos of the Chancellor or someone sucking the oversized clitoris of a transgender.

Bunch of fucking cunts.

*I know they're not hermaphrodites.

Words fail me

Via Mrs Dale:

Town hall bureaucrats could soon dictate what homeowners grow in their gardens. The measure is one of 52 ways to cut household waste suggested in a report commissioned by the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. Restrictions on fast-growing plants, trees and flowers could be brought in by "including gardens in building regulations" it said.

I've read that over and over again, and I can honestly say that it seems to imply that the government is going to try and tell me what I can and can't grow in my garden. Along with telling me I can't smoke in my own house or car, what I can and can't eat, read, watch or do in my spare time.

Is there no fucking area these cunts don't feel like they can stick their noses in?

Well, come on boys. Come have a go at telling me all these things to my face, if you think you're hard enough.

A Damascene Conversion?

Hot on the heels of his assessment of over-ambitious EU renewable energy targets, Sir David King has come up with another corker:

Greenies' anti-science superstitions are causing unnecessary suffering in Africa. King blames "anti-poverty" campaigners, aid agencies and environmental activists for keeping modern farming techniques and bio-technology out of Africa.

For instance:

For example, Friends of the Earth continues to argue that modern seed technologies should not be used to make agriculture easier and more productive for poor farmers - even when this causes more ecological damage than the new technology. FoE's most recent campaign against biotech means that subsistence farmers must continue to use seeds that require more fertiliser than GM varieties, and which need environmentally-destructive tilling.

Whatever it is that motivates these self-styled "Greens", it isn't a concern for the environment. Nor, despite claims to the contrary, is there any valid concern of "over-population". The UN estimates global population growth to peak in the 2040s at 7.87m, then decline, assuming modest development is permitted to continue. Not only does economic development mean fewer people, but it means less suffering: those fewer people are much happier.

Clearly, we can easily generate enough food to feed everyone on the planet and we have the means to ensure there's less human suffering. Some people want that to happen - and some don't. You'll find many nursing their Malthusian or Eugenics prejudices under the banner of Greenery in the former camp - but it's a refreshing surprise to find King in the latter camp, or at least edging away from the Greens' death cult.

Something must be in the air, because these eminently sensible observations come from a man who sold his soul to the Labour party, promoting the government's line that "we're all going to die" and that mass slaughter of healthy animals was a better option than anything else in the Foot and Mouth scare.

Is he getting ready to sell his soul to a new master?

More Slavery Shite

Fuck. Via DK I see that the morally righteous and permanently indignant are fucking with education again to justify more professional victim cockwaffle make it clearer how much we owe slaves for enriching our lives.

As he says, I wonder if they will actually tell kids that
the nineteenth-century costs of suppression were bigger than the eighteenth-century profits

or that
it was costing financial capital – Britain did indeed pay heavily in ‘subsidies’ to other European countries to induce them to give up or at least curtail their trade in slaves; somewhat less to numerous chiefs on the African coast for the same purpose; vast sums to its own slave-owners in the West Indies to purchase the freedom of their slaves in 1833; more again to meet the costs of maintaining a squadron on the coast of Africa. It has been estimated that great as was the wealth generated by the slave trade in the half century before 1807, the costs of suppressing it added up to a similar sum:¹ “.. by any more reasonable assessment of profits and direct costs, the nineteenth-century costs of suppression were certainly bigger than the eighteenth-century benefits.” Above all, the campaign was costing the lives of British seamen: a sacrifice that might be worth making to put an end to the slave trade, but a sacrifice wasted if the only result was further suffering for many of the trade’s victims.

So ... Britain already paid hugely over the odds in both money and lives to end a trade that was common practice in the world for milennia before (and probably still goes on today to a much lesser degree in dark shadows.) Will our educators be trumpeting the great moral victory that our ancestors achieved? Will there be respect for the thousands of British seamen who died for the slaves? Will there be accolades for the vast sums of money paid to people from other countries to stop them slaving?

Or do you think that professional victims will be given a new base upon which to build a client base of further victims? Will this be a way of encouraging professional victims like Derrick Campbell to milk more "community cohesion funding" from us? Will there be Counselling Centres built in Sandwell for victims of slavery?

Shall we flip a coin, or do you want to hazard a guess?

First, they came for the pie-munchers...

Jesus. Whatever next?

Specialist nurses will call unannounced at obese youngsters’ homes in a bid to sign them up to a weight loss programme.

I mean, I know this is all just for pie-munching Northerners, but you just know that after this it's going to be the Morlocks, the sweaties and the web-footed Anglians. And sooner or later this shit is going to infest civilisation as well.

Why can't these fucking cunts just leave everyone alone?

Update: This is what's next. Quite unexpected, of course!

Social services may have to take action over children who are overweight if the UK's obesity problems continue to grow, council chiefs have warned.

The Local Government Association (LGA) questioned whether parental neglect should include child obesity, in the same way as under-nourishment.

Look, you fucking busybodying cunts, you fucking tax us to death, take the money, be grateful and shut the fuck up.

Even more from Elfin Safety

Hot on the heels of Ian PJ's post comes this gem from the Telegraph:

A group of pensioners have had to abandon their weekly game of cards after being charged £250 to cover the cost of health and safety.

The 14 whist players - aged between 70 and 90 - met every Friday for almost 10 years in a communal room at a sheltered housing complex in Norfolk.

But officials at Neville Court, in Heacham, told the group they must pay liability insurance for all those who did not live at the complex before they could meet again.

If I were ever in charge of this country, I'd arrange for these nameless "officials" to be left in the stocks for a month with copious quantities of rotten eggs and tomatoes and large stones easily to hand.

Cunts.

More from Elfin Safety

Via Ian PJ:

In the "old days", when God was an Englishman who loved to watch cricket, those who attended church could be sure of a robust sermon promising "fire and brimstone" delivered from the pulpit by a crusty old vicar.

However, in Nanny's Britain, such a verbal ear bashing is now rather unlikely.

For why?

Nanny's chums from the local council's health and safety orifice have decreed that the pulpit in the Church of All Saints, in Wyke Regis Weymouth, presents a clear and present danger to the health of the vicar.

The church has been forced to draw up guidelines after being warned by council officials that the pulpit is "dangerous", and that preachers might be injured while climbing its seven spiral stone steps.

In case you are wondering about the safety record of the church, it was built in 1172 and the pulpit was added in the 16th century; there have been no recorded injuries to any member of the clergy mounting the pulpit during this time.

One wonders quite how mankind has survived before Nanny's health and safety Gestapo were created!

Notwithstanding the unblemished safety record, Nanny insists that a modern handrail be added to the pulpit.

As an alternative, churchwarden Gary Hepburn drew up his own safety guidelines.

These state that no one under the influence of drink or drugs will be allowed to use the pulpit. The steps shall not be approached in dim lighting, by anyone with poor vision or wearing bifocals, or by anyone feeling unwell.

Those entering or leaving the pulpit are advised to make maximum use of the structure itself, and the stone column supporting it to steady themselves.

You will be pleased to know that the inspectors from the environmental health department of Weymouth and Portland Borough Council have been mollified by these guidelines, Mr Hepburn happens to be a health and safety consultant.

He said:

"The issues were raised when a visit was carried out by council officials on behalf of the Health and Safety Executive. They were looking at the building and its use in relation to the dangers that might be present in a workplace, which is not comparing like with like, in my humble opinion.

The most contentious item was the pulpit and there was no way the church authorities were going to allow a horrible plastic and metal handrail to be installed, so we had to try an alternative tack.

In my professional capacity, I knew the type of things that needed to be said to reassure the inspectors and the way in which they should be expressed.

Fortunately my Safe System Of Work pamphlet was successful and normal service has been resumed – although I must admit even my faith was sorely tested at one stage
."

What a waste of time and money!

Nanny is determined to destroy our cultural heritage, and the fabric of our society.

For this and hundreds more side splitting examples of how Nanny and her 'elf and safety' Gestapo operate go visit the excellent Nanny Knows Best website.

Nanny really is a comedian, we are sure that all elf and safety operatives must now attend 'diverse comedy courses' before being let loose on the public. Treat them with the contempt they deserve, a real joke.

Fuck it, I'm going to say it!

Via the ever-amusing Mark Wadsworth comes this marvelous research:

1. Migrant workers are more likely to be working as temps or in insecure work (for example not having a written contract) than any other workers.

2. Recent migrant workers are more than twice as likely as other workers to be earning less than the appropriate NMW for their age.

Wow. I'm stunned. Leaving aside the fatuity that is the minimum wage (which actually makes it more difficult for someone at the bottom end of the payscale to better themselves) -- who'd have thunk it, huh?

But then he goes on:

Anyway, I'm not allowed to say "They can always go home, can't they?" without risking arrest or losing my job. So I won't.

Well, fuck that. If people don't like Britain, they can always just fuck off. They should have known what they were getting into when they got here, and if they only discovered things that they didn't like when they got here, they can either fuck off back to where they came from or they can try some other shithole (despite the fact that any other shithole is likely to be just different, rather than better.)

I'm sick of being told that I can't say this or think that. You chose to come live here. Fit in or fuck off.

Tabloid journalism kicks in...

This looks like a perfectly presentable, decent chap. Sounds fairly sensible.

I've dozens of knives at home and not one has killed anybody because I've never put them to that purpose. I have a huge meat cleaver and two massive machetes, bought as much because I found them cool as their practical use. I've never used them against anyone nor have I any intention to (excepting perhaps any burglar stupid enough to catch me at home). Are my actions "disgusting"? What about in my more foolish moments when I wave them around and make swishing noises? Stupid but pretty innocent in the grand scheme of the human condition.

Well, apart from waving knives around, making whoosing noises. Everyone knows a light-saber is the whooshy weapon of choice. Idiot.

Anyway, his article was all about how knife crime is bad and what could we do to fix it, coming up with a novel idea to shame knife carriers properly, by reducing their street cred, not bolstering it with an ASBO. Go read his post and then see what happened next.

Enter the Daily Blither:

A tory councillor caused outrage by claiming knives are "cool" and posting footage of fights on his internet blog.

Teacher Philip Thomas, 27, boasted he has "a huge meat cleaver and two massive machetes" he bought "as much because I found them cool as their practical use".

He threatened to use them on burglars and said: "In foolish moments..I wave them around and make swishing noises". He posted links to graphic films on YouTube of a "road rage" incident and "a boxer" beating up two men.
I wonder why they did that then? Bunch of cunts.

I suggested he shank them, but he's probably too polite.

Footnote: I see that despite owning two machetes and a meat cleaver, Philip is too modest to suggest that he has a huge chopper. Come on, Phil, Trixy needs saving!

BoJo: WTF?

I must admit that I was, briefly, a fan of Red Ken. Not because I had any affiliation with his rather barmy politics, but because he'd managed to stick it to Tony. Back then, I was so desperate to see Tony get fucked over, I took an "enemy of my enemy" position. But with the advent of Kengestion charging, the LEZ and all the right-on cocktrumpeting, I soon tired of the newt molester.

So when BoJo came storming in, I thought: good-oh, here's a decent egg, got a bit of worldly experience, he'll sort things out.

The first warning bells came with the banning of boozing on the Tube. This baffled me. People actually drinking on the Tube are incredibly rare and in no way a problem. Drunks on the Tube, that's a whole 'nother thing right there. They're a complete pain in the cunt. But of course, you can't ban that as easily, can you.

So we staggered out of that, and then he parked the increased congestion charge and sacked a bunch of Trots, had a bit of a black moment and then just seemed to be getting on with it. But now he's back in the press with something that made me weep: he has appointed Rosie Boycott, former editor of the Incontinent on Sunday, as a "food czar". I then read the rest of the article and started keening, excuse me while I compose myself.

Ok, I think I can face it again:

Young people with anti-social behaviour orders could be made to work in allotments, Boris Johnson's new food czar said today.

Oh, for the fucking sake of fucking fuck, woman. What is this cuntwaftery? This sounds like a fucking Gorgon relaunch initiative. Mind you, what would you expect from someone who ran the IoS? Sense?

Former newspaper editor Rosie Boycott said the move would benefit the environment and give young people a sense of pride.

Or it might lead to vandalised allotments and spate of spade thefts, you never know.

Ms Boycott has been appointed by the Mayor to chair the London Food Board, which aims to improve access to healthy, locally-produced and affordable food. She said she would also support local markets and encourage families to eat together.

Oh God, my brain is trying to escape through my ears and strangle me to stop me from reading this shit. Boris, please do us all a favour and fire this totalitarian cunt now. If we wanted some irritating fuckwit telling us all how to live our lives, we'd have voted for Ken. We voted for you because we wanted something different, not more of the cunting same!!

"I want to advocate the use of allotments and growing our own food," she said. "We can lean on councils to release more land and kids on Asbos could be put to work on them. If you've grown your own food you feel prouder of it and appreciate it more. We also want to limit food waste and eat more locally. If everybody grows more of their own food we have a greener city and help climate change."

Rosie, where the fucking fucking fuck do you think the councils are going to get more land from? Carve it from their cocks?

Ms Boycott, a former editor of the Independent on Sunday, has her own small organic farm and writes about the importance of food in improving health and in reducing the carbon emissions which cause climate change. She has also written a book about her experiences on her farm.

Oh great! Just what we need, another bossy, nannying, hectoring, clumsy-beekeeper-faced, chatterati dilettante telling us how we need to live our lives. And she's not exactly unbiased, with that pedigree, is she?

Boris, sack the bitch and stop fucking about with this trendy lefty shit. London has more important things that need sorting out.

Rosie Boycott: fuck off and die!

Update: Bishop Hill's take on it: journalists are idiots.

Update 2: Dave's Part shows a sexist side. Snigger.

Monday, 4 August 2008

Just to prove that the Tories are no different ...

According to the Increasinglydespondent, Michael Gove [Ed: who he?] is blaming Zoo, Nuts and their ilk for encouraging irresponsible young men to regard women as sex objects.

Well Michael, here's a thought: I haven't ever read a "lads' mag" and I regard women as sex objects. Nor have I ever read Playboy, Hustler, Penthouse or Razzle. So, your argument is clearly shit. My missus, for reasons that elude me, regards me as a sex object and has no intention of sprogging or any of that other emotional horse shit.

But so fucking what, anyway? When I walk through town on a Friday night, I see a hundred young hussies looking for a good time, ogling up the boys and regarding them as sex objects. Why aren't you calling for Heat magazine to be chucked into that Farenheit 451 pile?

Cunt.

Update: Mr E. is on form, as usual:

Men do not like tits because they buy Zoo. Men buy Zoo because they like tits.

We can demonstrate this by means of a simple thought experiment. Zoo was launched in 2004. Hands up if you ever thought about tits before then. Yes, one hand will do.

Technowibble

I was reading a blog aimed at developers, where I found this absolute bollocks:

< Insert Vendor Name Here > has embarked on a strategic initiative to deliver an integrated, yet modular, data management environment to design, develop, deploy, operate, optimize and govern data, databases, and data-driven applications throughout the entire data management lifecycle. By focusing across the lifecycle and enabling different roles to collaborate, we believe we can increase organizational productivity and effectiveness, while improving the quality of service, cost of ownership, and governance of diverse data, databases, and data-driven applications.

Quite unlike other vendors of expensive technology who want to cunt up systems with more bureaucracy and butt-covering, eh?

It's an entire game of bullshit bingo in one paragraph!
